Me and the family our having our first dinner together in maybe 2 years. Were not so close any more. I'm just wanting everyone to enjoy this dinner as if it were any other. Like I said were not really close so what should we talk about?
It's a dinner for 4. Me, my brother & sister (both younger), and my mom. If that helps any.....

I figure there's got to be some cutesy little name for it. It's often in the rec room of some older houses along with the pool table, ping pong, etc.

I bought some gourmet cupcakes for dessert tomorrow. I realized when I got home some have creme filling. I hate the way cakes taste when refridgerated, however, will they go bad left boxed on the counter overnight?

Does anyone know what the things on the tips of the turkey legs are called? I guess I should explain alittle. They look like little chefs hats. I have never seen any in person but I have seen them on TV and pictures. I need to know how to make them. I am making a turkey cake and I need to put them on the ends of the legs. Any ideas?

Doing a white elephant party, our turn this year, but the same group of friends has been doing this for 10 years, so a few years back started adding in a theme. Last year for example was - no batteries required. Another year it was Heavyy Metal.

What can I serve for the main dish and some sides? I will have some appetizers and a salad and a cake for dessert, what else can I serve. No Italian food. No Mostaccholi or baked chicken or roast beef either. Not the same old stuff you get at these things but something nicer that most of the girls will like.

I've smoke cigarettes before, but not enough to know which cigarettes taste the best and which ones taste horrible. I want your input on what you smoke and why. Aslo, I'm a big fan of menthol cigs, do you know of any full flavor cigarettes that I could try? I've tried Marlboro Menthols, and Newports already, but I want to know what you think.

My mother's children will be coming right after Christmas for a family reunion and 80th birthday party for her. Although the visitors will be here for several days the party itself will be on one day. That's what we are looking for suggestions about. I would like to know what you think of this salad. Here are the ingredients:

Pecans, maybe glazed.
Orange Poppyseed dressing (store bought)
Warm goat cheese
dried blueberries
dried cranberries
Butter lettuce (its not as bitter as other varieties)
Orange and Yellow gourmet tomatoes, cherry tomato size.
Chickpeas

Are there any ingredients I should add or delete due to flavor concerns?

I have decided that I will make a salad for Thanksgiving without using lettuce. It will be part of a normal traditional Thanksgiving meal. Initially, I am thinking it should have dried cranberries in it, but wanted to get all of your ideas.

I am leaving out the lettuce just to make it be different.
