Thanks for all the answers! I don't want to say what we've spent, but its for a full homemade spread for 29 people. But regardless of the cost, I'm looking forward to having so many friends and family celebrating under my roof.

Ron, your kindness I'm sure is valued by many. God bless and keep up the good work!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Believe it or not: not one cent. Why? Because I decided to donate my time and energy to volunteer at Magee Rehabilitation Hospital, Philadelphia, PA.

It gives at least one person the day off and/or allows one of the facilities - on Thanksgiving its the library - to be opened for patients and visitors.

Thanks for asking your Q! I enjoyed answering it!

I am actually surprised that we only spent about $100 for about 15 people. But We got the ham and turkey free for purchasing $600 in groceries but I'm going to count it as if we didn't get it free.

20 lb turkey
10lb ham
mashed potatoes
gravy
potato tots (the moon shaped kind)
Salad
Shrimp with creamy dressing
lasagna
and of course the stuffing

Even the butter and cheese prices for the lasagna was included.

I think I spent around $75 (22 pound turkey was on sale for $7!) for 4 adults an 2 very little kids. And that included 2 stuffings, 2 mashed potatoes, green beans, and making a pie.

All in all, I think that it'll cost me about $60 for a tank of gas to get to the in-laws!
