Well im turning fourteen, and I wanted to know if anyone had any ideas for birthday parties. I originally thought of having one at like a party dance place or someting, but then it came out to be really expensive. My birthday is in the winter, too...so its hard to find stuff. I would prob. want to invite boys, and most likely have a lot of people...but please just brainstorm and write all of your ideas. THANNNKSS ! =]

I need some good ideas for sandwich fillings for my son's party which will go down a treat. Is it better to do something like chocolate spread or strawberry jam ones rather than cheese sandwiches.

Any other ideas for sandwiches will be greatly appreciated. My sons like marmite but not everyone else does and I would rather know the sandwiches will be eaten than left after the amount of time it takes to do them.

Hey guys...I need a little help. This is my first Thanksgiving being married and my first time cooking the dinner. I need a basic, beginners recipe for roasted turkey. I want it a little brown and crispy on the outside. (Kinda like the routisserie chicken you can buy already cooked). I'm usually a great cook, but this TurkeyDay has me a little nervous!
Please Help!!
Thanks!

I am coordinating my company's 2nd annual Christmas party and am in desperate need of suggestions.

Last year we did it at Dave & Busters so there were pool tables and an open bar - the whole party was planned for us. Dave & Busters was a bit too far so we need to host it closer to the office this year and I am not able to find anything in the area with pool tables - I have only been able to find baquet halls. I am considering using a banquet hall and having it catered but I need some suggestions for events or entertainment. It would be great to be able to find somewhere with pool tables but I can't find anything local.

WeI'd also rather not do a gift exchange.

Any ideas?

I have invited a group of people that I really want to impress. They are a group of female executives in their late 30s-early 40s. I want to do a wine and cheese thing. I have connections to get great wine & cheese-but what can I do to make the whole thing seem expensive? What music and decorations would you suggest?

The party is Saturday night and I will be making Sea Bass with breadcrumbs and lemon, roasted potatoes with shallots and whole garlic cloves, and string beans almondine. I am also making a dip made with crumbled bacon, swiss cheese with mayo and scallions. What can I prepare today (Thursday) and tomorrow (Friday) and Saturday?

I really do so much better preparing ahead of time and enjoying my company...help!!!! Thank you for taking the time to respond.

Am I obligated to give out my pumpkin pie recipe to my son's friends parents? My spouse and I get along with them very well. They enjoyed the homemade pumpkin pie that I made because it's delicious and not 2 sweet.
The mother asked me for the recipe because her son ate a whole slice because normally he doesn't eat pie.
Is it considered rude if I don't give out my personal recipe? I don't want to give it out and then regret it later because friends come and go.

Do you send out invitations, have food, ect? What exactly is the point of having a house warming party? I am clueless. Please help!

Okay so.. If you don't blow out all the candles on your birthday cake, every single one, your wish will not come true, right?

But, what if your wish is to have one candle stay lit?
