With twins i doubt that you have much time to cook. I would go to Costco or Sam's Club and order 2 sandwich rings (they come presliced, cut those slices in half, the sandwich rings also come with potato and macaroni salad). Get a bag of rigatoni and pre-made meatballs (also at Costco in the freezer section),and jarred sauce . Get a few bags of pre-made salad (just add a cucumber and some grape tomatoes) A bottle of Italian and Ranch dressing. While your at Costco order a sheet cake. This should not cost you more than 125.00 + the cost of drinks, dishes and flat ware.

Olives with a square of cheese on a toothpick. Also, 1/2 a cut strawberry, a grape and square of cheese on a toothpick. Mini kabobs. M&M meat shops has very tasty appetizers and finger foods for very reasonable prices. Everything is frozen and you just heat it up.

Hi,
I will suggest you prepare the cake to save some money. You can just get some edible Christening decorations and added to the cake.
Check out this cake examples!

Make a huge pot of chili and have toppings of sour cream, shredded cheese, green onions, and jalapenos on the side for everyone to put their own. Make a huge pan of cornbread to go with it, and buy or make a sheet cake for dessert.

Congrats on your new babies! Best wishes for getting some sleep!

Go to your local market and see if they can put together a large meat and cheese platter for you, buy some rolls, and have some family members make a few large salads - maybe one green, one fuit, one pasta. Toss in some sodas, sparkling water, juices and you are done!

Good luck!

PASTA - it goes really far, fills people up, and is rather cheap to make. Plus you can add bread and salad, which are also cheaper.

ask the child's grandparents or the god-parents to kick in & either provide the food, or pay for a portion of it (i am sure the proud grandparents would be happy to do so...)
