Beer, Wine & Spirits - December 2007

Going out tomorrow night and we usually have drinks before we go out to get "happy". Last year we drank cider but got sick of that and this year i was drinkin wine and west coast cooler! Has anyone any ideas what i got drink for a change,if its mixing two drinks or whatever I dont mind but something nice and that will get you tispy!

Hey everybody i really need help with Christmas cocktails. It really do not matter what liquor it is made from but i really like rum, light and dark.I want it to look festive and taste great. So if you could please include the garnish that I should use that would be great.

A few years back I was buying this bottle from a store near where I lived. I live far from there now, but it was a white white with some vaguely tropical notes- vanilla, papaya, maybe some plumeria. Anyway, it was a clear bottle but I'm thinking the label was blue or had some blue in it, and a parrot or some palm trees. Any ideas?

Hey. I'm an alchoholic.... I go to AA an afterwards I pick up some beer and drink it before I get home so my mom doesn't know.. Maybe I should go to rehab but I dont think I want to because that's for alchohlics. I will probably need to hit a serious bottom before I actually quite. I don't think bad grades in high school is enough for me.... Maybe attempting to kill myself or living on the steet for a few months will motivate me a little further... Until then I will just keep on hiding my bottles and going to school while telling everyone I'm sick and that's why my eyes are red and I'm always exhausted.....

I dont let myself get drunk but i like to have alcohol in my system as it makes me feel more 'confident',i am wondering if i've build up a tolerance as it takes alot to get me drunk. I only drink if i'm going out or meeting people,it's like a habit now,i tend to drink vodka straight which i know isnt healthy,whats wrong with me?

I've always wanted to become a bartender. I love mixing and making drinks, and my friends tell me I'm quite good. I've memorized a lot of recipes in my head. I'm 20 and will be turning 21 in 4 months. Anyone know of a good place to get a bartending license? I don't know much about the process other than I assume you need one to be eligible to bartend.

Also any tips on where to work/what to look in an employer and how to best market myself for the job?

I have a date at a wine and cheese restaurant this week. I live in Florida and the place is outside. It's not cold at all yet, but I was wondering what type of wine is appropriate for the season so that I can look classy and educated.

Additional info: I don't like super dry wines or tart wines.
