Beer, Wine & Spirits - December 2007

I am looking for a holiday party signature drink along with a festive punch or eggnog recipe. I appreciate any ideas.

From personal experience i would have to say no and alcohol is the greatest laxative in the world.
Who needs bran oats wheat fibre and all that other sh!t.
Alcohol is great for the digestive system

ok, thanks peps for all your responses. just want to make sure i asked correct question & understood correct answers..so if i have a couple of bottles of white wine that I have in the cold fridge for about a week or so, not opened, I can take them out of the fridge & place them back onto my wine rack that is at room temprature? with out them or the taste going bad?? help..thanks

I'm going to a dinner party which will have a Thanksgiving-ish meal served and I've been asked to bring a bottle of white wine. I don't know anything about wine; I usually just drink what is served to me. I want to buy something which will go well with dinner, but I also want something I'll like--nothing too dry. I'll probably be going to a grocery store or liquor store to buy it, and I don't want to spend too much money but I don't want anything low-end either. Any suggestions on types of wine or brands?

i have a bottle of Jägermeister that i took a couple shots out off last night and was just wondering how long it would be ok to leave it without drinking out of it. do you think it would be ok if i waited until next weekend to drink it again? i wont be freezing it either, it will just stay in room temp.

will it be ok?

Mine is the B-52 ( i think that's the name). A layer of Kahlua, Bailey's, and Grand Marnier. You light it and drink it through a straw. It's fun too!

I've never really drank too much wine only beer, but now that I have a baby and I'm nursing I can only have one drink and I thought it would be good to have a red wine. I think I would like something on the sweeter side though. Any suggestions?

My boyfriend and I are trying to collect liquors that have cool/interesting glass bottle shapes or designs, and ones that are not TOO expensive (under $50).

So far we have Vox, Jagermeister, Tanqueray Rangpur, X-Rated, Hypnotiq, Disarrono, a tall Sangria, an Absolut, and maybe one other I can't remember.

We'd like to add to our collection.....so what is your favorite glass liquor bottle and why? Based on the design of it only, not necessarily the taste! :)

Alcohol bottles, after you are done with them do you keep them in a certain shelf just for those bottles only? Cause i do... just to remember the good times, not that i am an alcoholic or nothing, its something different to collect. Ive collected them for a long time now. I dont have loads of them but quite a few, from parties and such.

This morning I came to this realization (despite the fact that it has been pretty much right in front of my face all along) after having a "rock-bottom" type moment last night. I'm 19 years. What should I do next? Try to stop drinking completely? Try to drink in moderation? Get outside help (and stop drinking)? Thank you for any help.

...and I woke up today and I've got someone else's coat and scarf. I wasn't wearing a coat at the bar and I don't know who's it was or where/when I took it.

There isn't a name or anything or any sort of ID. There was like $25 in the pocket, but I used that for Chinese food on my walk home. Man, I love Chinese food when I'm drunk. Crab rangoon and Sweet-and-Sour chicken! Aw yeah.

Anyway, so now I've got this dude's coat and scarf and $6.50 of his money, but I don't know what to do?
