There is no precise answer to your question! The confusion arises from the fact that alcohol intake is measured in units, while the drink/drive limit is measured by alcohol content within the blood. For instance, one pint of ordinary lager, bitter or cider, or a 175 ml glass of wine equal two units, but the UK legal limit is 80 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. The blood alcohol level, however, can be affected by such factors as an individual's size, weight and metabolism, meaning there is no uniform measure. For instance, if an average-sized female motorist drinks two large glasses of wine during an evening out, that is the equivalent of two-thirds of a bottle of wine. She may then feel 'fine' and wrongly assume that she has only had two units of alcohol, but should she then drive home, she is extremely likely to be over the drink drive limit. This uncertainty is why many motorists would like to see a complete ban on drinking before driving.

The food experts tell you that you should only take alcohol at the same time as food.
As I enjoy wine with my food I will restrict my intake if I am going to drive to half a standard glass i.e. 35 ml, a 20th part of a standard bottle and that I will take during the meal. Eat your food slowly and take at least an average portion 300 calories
Don't drink if you are not dining unless someone else is driving. Beware of driving the morning after drinking.

Depends on the strength of the wine and how heavy you are and what you've eaten. Broadly speaking, people I know tend to have between 0-2 drinks but even 2 glasses is risky with wine :

Best advice is none, then you won't be tempted to have more.

Why bother having the wine then? It would be best not to have any at all, than trying to have some and be below the driving limit. Even one glass is going to weaken your senses even if you are below the driving limit.

No one can answer this question- other than to say you may be over the limit. Isn't Poker about risks? Well drink driving is a risk, and mostly people get away with it. Being caught does have consequences.

I think that most people can tolerate one glass. However, people do vary in what they can imbibe before showing effects. There are also the factors of how long you leave it after drinking that one glass before taking to the wheel, for your body to absorb the alcohol, and whether or not you are eating too. If you want to know how much you can drink and still be safe to drive, the rule of thumb is one glass.

To legally be able to drive, the most amount of alcohol you can consume is 80mg per 100 ml of blood. This is about two glasses of wine.
