Please go to your parents and tell them you need help. You're drinking to cover your pain and hurt.
With the help of your family, a counselor can help you learn to love and accept yourself and your strengths and help you find purpose in your life.
I beg you to love yourself enough to stop what you're doing and do a 360. You're young and you have your life ahead of you. You just need some help setting some new goals for yourself and a good support system( new friends with a strong sense of values ). All the best to you~dear one

Dear Abby,

You are asking for help and that's a good start. Please listen to Gabi ? and Irish_Matt and get some help. These are people like yourself who have gone through some bad times and can relate to your feelings. These people want to help you live a healthier life, both physically and spiritually.

The health aspects of what you are doing to not bode well for your future. I lost my father to throat cancer caused by his heavy drinking. I lost a friend to a heart attack due to his drinking and he was only 38 years old. My cousin died at the hands of a drunk driver. I am dealing with my own health issues as well.

I know you may think this is all beyond your realm of existence and are tempted to deny it. So did I. But alcoholism has an unwelcomed way visiting when you least expect it.

Please take care and have a happy holiday season, Alan K.

I am 18 and have never drunk, no it's not a religious thing and I'v had plenty of offers to drink
you are 15 seriously cut down on it, drinking causes a lot of damage
and don't skip school you will regret it later as it's year 12 and you know nothing and you are too drunk to realize it
at the very least cut down on it, try and hang out with people that don't drink more often

You need to seek some advice from a health professional. The behaviour you are exhibiting is not a normal behaviour. It seems that you are bordering on alcoholism. Binge drinking is also bad for your health, damaging your young liver. Livers are the only organs that do not self heal, so you really need to look after it. Skipping school to drink is a bad habit. You need to find out why you drink and seek help to quell your habit before it really gets out of control

No one is holding you down and pouring it down your throat--you are doing it to yourself. No it is not normal for teens to drink--especially overdoing it when those that do it do drink. YOU are responsible for everything that you do and for everything that goes on in your life. You are making the decisions, yourself. You insist on hanging with others that drink--so it is easy for you to do it. If you hung with better people, you would not drink. If you had something worthwhile to do, , you would not drink. No one is forcing you to do. if you want to change--admit to yourself that this is self destructive behavior--then make an all out effort to change your activities. There is no excuse for teens drinking--hating yourself is not a good reason---mad at the world is not a good reason--THERE IS NO GOOD REASON.But there are plenty of good reasons to stop.`You need to picture yourself in 5 years--do you plan on getting an education so you can get a good job??... or do you plan on working at a hamburger joint all your life and living in a trailer park with some loser drunk man that slaps the crap out of you. The whole thing is up to you--it is all in the attitude. Your drunken friends won't miss you if you stop hanging with them--drunks don't care about anybody. You hate yourself?? Why?? At 15 you haven't lived enough to know what self hate is. You have a long life ahead of you--and all the chances to have a great life--it's tough but you need to get yourself together and start working at a good life. So Merry Christmas and good luck.

Drinking may seem like a cool thing to do now, but Alcohol has a way of pulling you in and then, POW! GOTCHA!
If you keep drinking, you will become an alcoholic. A falling down smelly old drunk who p-i-s-s-e-s yourself on the sidewalk as people walk by and hold their noses.
Sounds like you have low self worth. You are just as good as anyone else. Learn to love yourself. Its ok if you like you.

wel stop drining before u get screwed up. first you need to stop seeing these mates or at least just talk to them but don't hang out with hem. second I don't know why you hate yourself, you should love YOU. You are a fresh flower embracing life, respect people and people will respect you. if you feel your parents don't care about you, go and talk to a counselor( you really should do it) if you think you can't stop alchol by yourself then go and ask for help, your pRENTS, SCHOOL, FAMILY BUT YOU HAVE TO STOP IT WILL RUIN YOUR LIFE. AGAIN YOU ARE A FRESH FLOWER AND YOU'LL GET A LOT FROM LIFE SAVE YOUR YOUTH

It will age your looks,
and you will look like a drinker.

In the US it's not normal for teenagers
to drink. It's against the law. So you
must be from another country.

Stop, and get your education.
