One of the family holiday favorites I remember as a kid was spiced wine. My aunt would take port wine and sangria and put it in a crock pot along with apple slices, orange slices, cinnamon, nutmeg.

She also made a spiced apple cider and served it with Tuaca which is a caramel flavored liqueur. It tasted like hot apple pie ala mode with caramel. Yuummmy,.

I also love Raspberry martini's during the holidays with a garnish of whole sliced lemon. Very pretty and festive.

Why go with just rum?
Invest in is "Mr. Boston's Deluxe Official Bartender's Guide" or "Mr. Boston's Recipe Book". Either is commonly referred to as "Mr. Boston". I THINK I would prefer the "Deluxe" edition.

Thanks for asking! I enjoyed answering your Q!
