A few years ago, me and a friend of mine shared a bottle of sake he said he'd obtained from a friend in Japan. It tasted amazing -- not too dry and pleasantly fruity. Since that time, I've tried without any luck at finding a bottle of sake that was as tasty as this one.

I don't know the label, regrettably. But if anyone out there can tell me of a kind of sake that's better than most, it would help me a lot.

Please note that I don't want to buy any through the Internet. Just let me know of any kinds you've tried and liked that would be able to be found in a liquor store with a good selection.

If you don't have any specific recommendations, then just let me know some of the terms used on the labels and how I can select an above-average bottle of sake from a liquor store.

Thanks in advance for your help. Cheers!

i know that an ingrediant is used in making the real ales and beers is fish, and it is used to make the liquid clear and not cloudy... however, dowes this ingrediant sink to the bottom of the barrel so when the beer/real ale is pulled through, the fish does not come through too.

sort of like when you pull a pint, the head settles at the top, and doent sink to the bottom... would this ingrediant start at the top, then settle at the bottom of the barrel and not come to the top?

i work in a real ale pub, and my boyfriend is a vegetarian and hes only just found out, but as long as the ingrediant doesnt get pulled through with the pint he sees it as being ok, as hes not actually drinking it...

if anyones confused by this il add more... dont go on about how hes not a true veggie or what ever, just a question for the brewers out there...

best answers will be rated...and good answers thumbs up

thank you

Are you like me? Do you wish they served booze in cinemas, do you enjoy drinking on a Monday afternoon? Is there nothing better than a big fat glass of wine when watching TV? Its fab isn't it.

How can I avoid throwing up when I drink? It does not happen very often. When I feel it may be coming, I usually try to breathe heavier. People have told me sitting and leaning on your left helps prevent it and also keep your arms above your head.

PLEASE only answers about suggestions. Please no stop drinking, don't drink so fast, pace yourself, vary drinks, etc. Just things you may do or have hear of. Thanks.

if i never drink.
i drank once a few years ago, had about 5 sips of differnet types of alcohol and was supposedly drunk, and started feeling sick and went to sleep..

and then decided i never wanted to drink again.

but ive tried stuff since then.
like sips of stuff.

if i decided to drink now.
how much i could drink without getting wasted and throwing up.

how many can i drink just enough to get buzzed.

with like no tolerance.

is there a way to fine out the alcohol content of homemade wine?

2007-01-14 16:24:51 · 5 answers · asked by Amarvin 1

Questions #1 as far as simple wait 3 weeks and then your done homemade wine goes, i guessing that the grape juice is mostly for flavor; so, what if i was to just make the mixture with out the juice, just water sugar and yeast? it would still make alcohol wouldn't it? i'm also guessing it would taste like crap.

Question #2 I know this is a spacial chemical reaction between the yeast and the sugar that makes the whole thing work. But, if i wanted to make a lower calorie wine and not have all those sugar calories could i use i different sugar product? like splenda for example, its made from sugar but its zero calorie, would the yeast still be able to eat it and make alcohol?

I know the recipe has the following items but am sure I am missing some. currents, dried apricots, cinnamon sticks
You are supposed to put all the fruit in a caraf - pour vodka to cover and let it sit - you shake it up every day and then at the end of the waiting period - you pour off the vodka to drink and just refill with more vodka. Any one know what I am looking for?
