How can I avoid throwing up when I drink? It does not happen very often. When I feel it may be coming, I usually try to breathe heavier. People have told me sitting and leaning on your left helps prevent it and also keep your arms above your head.

PLEASE only answers about suggestions. Please no stop drinking, don't drink so fast, pace yourself, vary drinks, etc. Just things you may do or have hear of. Thanks.

Drink water between each alcoholic drink; this does two things -- gives you something elee to do and helps to flush out your system. Long slow breaths do help but don't close your eyes. You need to maintain your sense of equilibrium. If you are inside -- go outside. Walk a bit if you can to get your circulation going. If you can't walk much, lean against a wall and do your breahing.

Well if u don`t want to hear the truth, then the next best thing is to go to the bathroom and throw up and lastly, if u lie down, don`t ever lie on ur back, the room will feel like its spinning.....lie on ur side or stomach. The two suggestions r the only ones that ever worked for me, hope it helps u.

If you have cheese or coockeries like cheese Pakora with drinks the chances of throw up will reduce.Next do not sleep immidiately after you have drink.Wait for at least half an hour. Finally if you feel uneasy take one cup of very sour curd or butter milk.

The best thing you can do is drink as much water as you can stand. The reason we get sick is because we're dehydrated. So, hopefully, you'll avoid the whole throwing up thing. I haven't been able to avoid the throwing up part though once you know it's going to happen. It's inevitable at that point.

well the reason i throw up is.....

A. to much foam from drinking beer to fast, foam has no where to go besides up.....

B. i feel to drunk, so i know ill feel better if i up chuck. and just make myself puke.

but its greasy food not fatty,
i dont know anybody who can sober up in a half hour before they sleep.
but the breathing thing works, its to hard to explain, but if u get a rhythm going it does work,
having a full somach before u start works to, cuz the food soaks up the liquer,
and during bread and crackers work good to.

Honestly, you're thowing up because your body needs to get rid of it before it seriously injures you. Make sure you have eaten something substantial and don't get too over-heated. Go outside and get fresh-air every so often. But if your body wants it out, its for a reason and it will come out.

maybe you're allergic to something? some people just aren't built to drink. i know you don't want to hear this...maybe rethink what you are drinking. does beer and wine do this to you? thats the lowest of the boozes out there, if that doesn't stay down, i'd say you're allergic.
