Anything can have real live lime wedges if you want it to. All margaritas should. The special name would be an "authentic" margarita. Add a little orange juice to make your margarita even more authentic!

8 oz. white tequila
4 oz. triple sec or other orange liquer
4 oz. lime juice
Coarse salt (optional)
Lime wedge

Rocks Margarita
Combine tequila, triple sec, and lime juice in a cocktail shaker with ice cubes and shake well. Pour into a chilled Collins glass and garnish with the lime wedge.
Optional: Rub a lime wedge around the rim of the glass and dip the glass into a saucer of the coarse salt.
Up Margarita
Combine tequila, triple sec, and lime juice in a cocktail shaker with ice cubes and shake well. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with a lime wedge.

Frozen Margarita
Combine tequila, triple sec, and lime juice in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour the mixture into a goblet and garnish with a lime wedge.
