There are a lot of mixed answers. It does seem possible that some people are trying to rationalize their smoking by saying it doesn't affect you physically or mentally. But then again, I am not so sure because some of the people I have talked to seem to be incredibly smart with their research. And the people who tried to say smoking marijuana doesn't affect your voice? That's crap, I at LEAST know that they are wrong on that. It may not be as bad as cigarettes, but it's still bad. One girl says she's been smoking for 10 years and it hasn't affected her voice. That doesn't matter!!! It will eventually!!! And even if she stopped today, the long-term effects could still get to her vocals ANYWAY. So I also know that any kind of smoking CAN have negative effects on your lungs at least. I was asking about judgment and motor skills. Personally, I think it can't be good for that either, but I'm not so sure. Here's a link to my first post.
