The New Jersey Turnpike drink was created as a joke about the highway. It consists of squeezing a rag into a shot glass that previously had been used to soak up spilled alcohol on the bar.

I am a professional bartender. I have not ever heard of a Jersey Highway. I have a large library on bartending, drink receipes, etc. I looked through a dozen of my books and not one of them have a listing for a Jersey Highway, although there was a listing for a Jersey Lighting. (sometimes a drink has more than one name.....I dont know in this case). For the Jersey Lighting drink: 1 1/2 oz apple brandy, 1/2 oz sweet vermouth, and a juice of lime. Shake with ice and strain into cocktail glass. This recipe came from the book, "Mr. Boston: Official Bartender's and Party Guide." Again, I checked in my other books that I have in my bartending library, and this is the closest one I could find that has "jersey" in the title. I hope that this helps! Good luck at creating new inventions!!

Jesus' Chrysler! Impounded? Something's going to crash... that is one sweet ride. =) Jesus Goes To Jail, Takes Fuzz With Him USA Today Officials from the New Jersey Highway Patrol and the Governor's office issued statements regarding one patrol officer's alleged unethical treatment of Jesus. The trooper made The Son of God "walk the line," after a routine stop for speeding on I-95. "Our man was doing everything by the book. Really, a textbook traffic stop, except for his Gatorade bottle half-filled with wine," said Lt. Col. Angelo Loosifier of the New Jersey Highway Patrol. "We are working hard to gather evidence, and are looking closely at the video tape of the event. We will issue another statement, umm, later," stated Bob Lo, an official from the governor's office of highway safety. "I thought he must be drunk," the trooper said in a private interview. "He offered to turn my G2 into wine, and He did it. I'd already drunk half of it, and felt woozy, so I tried to throw the book at him. I missed." The officer had to be sedated, and was not allowed any more comments. The trooper, an 11 year veteran of the NJ Highway Patrol, is being charged with drunk driving, and possession of alcohol while on duty. Jesus has issued no real statement, except to say that his father "is coming for him, and boy, will he be pissed." More to come.
