Greetings,
My father has an OPENED bottle of Jack Daniels from 1979. Has it expired, or is it still good. When, if ever, will it expire? Thanks Alot!

On my 21st birthday my dad cave me a wooden 'case' with 3 bottles inside, the story being that the year before I was born, he allowed some Chicago firemen to hunt on our property and it was given to him as a gift. I have never opened it and have never found any pertinent info on the net. The case is wooden with a twine handle, the sides say MIRAFIORE, the front has some sort of crest on it topped by a pointy crown and a ribbon in a U pattern that says DIO, PATRIA, E FAMILIGLIA. One wine is a Mirafiore Bardolino 1976, one a Mirafiore Soave 1977 and the other a Mirafiore Valpolicella 1976. They all say Classico Superiore, Bottled in Zone of Production by A.V.F.F. S.n.c. Sona - Verona. Sole Agents: Paterno Imports LTD - Chicago - ILL. PRODUCT OF ITALY large print on the bottom of the label. Can anyone help me? I've had it now for 8 years and don't know a single thing more about it than the day I got it. I would love to know what its worth. I know that apparently it's commonly misspelled.

Okay, I have bought several bottles of Ouzo, and one seems to have some weird type a crystal sediment on the bottom. It is noticable, but the taste seems unaltered. Any idea what this is..why it's ther..and is this stuff still safe..this has even confounded a 5 star chef..and a cooking /hotel instructor!

Ok, I have an alcohol problem, and I know the first answer I get will be to stop drinking and become sober. However, I just absolutely cannot see myself stopping my weekly trips to the bars. I live in a college town, and already I no longer drink outside of bars (like at football games, for example), and the bars are pretty much the only place to meet up with friends and meet girls. My problem is that I have no control over how much I drink (I know, alcoholic) and I will order drinks until the bars close. Typically, I black out about an hour or even longer sometimes before the bars close, and I get into trouble, I am sometimes rude, I get into fights, I have gotten arrested, and sometimes, I appear just fine and sober (although I cannot remember anything). Does anyone have any advice over how I could control my alcohol intake once I am drunk, and prevent black outs? Please don't just tell me to stop drinking, that is in the works, but I need an immediate solution to this problem.

The bottle is a 4/5 quart clear glass bottle with screw top. It has the IRS tax stamp, number 338686709, with a price of $2.99 stamped on it. On the bottom of the label it says: "PREPARED & BOTTLED BY The Clear Spring Distilling Co CLERMONT, KENTUCKY" and says that it is a division of James B Beam distilling company. I'd like to know if anybody has a rough guess of how old this is, and since it's nearly full, if the creme de menthe is still drinkable! Thanks!

I like to drink alot. I dont drink everyday but maybe 3-4 times in the week and especially on the weekend. I mainly drink beer or wine. I can drink a whole bottle of wine to myself. Now I dont drink a whole bottle to myself 3 days out the week, maybe one day, if that. I drink liquor if Im going out to a club or something. I like the way I feel when Im drunk or tipsy. I think I drink to get tipsy and not for the taste. I dont have any emotional issues in my life that drives me to drink, I just enjoy it. What do you guys think? Am I an alcoholic?

I had a drink in Florida called "Heaven." It was so good!!! All I can remember is that it had red juice in it (cranberry maybe?) and no bartender here has a clue what I'm talking about! Anybody else every have this drink? I think there were quite a few things that went in it.
