Greetings,
My father has an OPENED bottle of Jack Daniels from 1979. Has it expired, or is it still good. When, if ever, will it expire? Thanks Alot!

As long as the spirit is 40% or there abouts it wont expire. The Jack Daniels won't improve in flavour the longer you leave it in the bottle it's not wine, whisky will only change flavour if it is aged in a wooden barrel.

Please do not open it and drink it. Sell it too me
I collect unopened Jack Daniel's decanters and need to add this one to it.

To really tell take a small portion of it and take to your local college lab and have them test it. Then again you can always checkout the Jack Daniels website for that sort of information. If people have been drinking out of it since it's been open and nothing has happened then drink up.

oh it will still be good.....i wish i had bottle that old! it is like fine wine....it gets better with age if you dont open till you drink it!
