Yes drink a lot of water. Gatorade will help replenish you quicker too.

But you are asking how... Sometimes cheap alcohol can do that to you. Like if you normally drink grey goose and tonic and 9 makes you feel tipsy and you normally are not hung over, subsitute cheap 'well' alcohol and the results will surprise you! If you go to a bar, 9 times out of 10 the drink special is 'headache alcohol' or if they don't ask what brand you want you get the 'under-the-counter' special.

Well, it's all about the chemistry...your body uses water to break down the alcohol. As alcohol breaks down it degrades into several things, aldehydes, ketones, etc. An overload of ketones in your blood stream are what cause you to get drunk. A hangover is your body being dehydrated to the point that it can no longer break down all of the junk left in your system from the alcohol. The best way to prevent a hangover...obviously don't drink...BUT if you are going to drink, eat something greasy beforehand, it helps coat the stomach and keep it from getting irritated believe it or not. Also, be well hydrated before, during and after drinking. It's the only way to beat a hangover. For recovery...V8 or tomato juice works well as well as Gatorade. Once your body starts processing the leftovers, you may get drunk again to some degree.

As you go through life drinking alcohol, you gradually become immune. This is why winos can drink quantities that would put you or I under the table, or even kill us, with little aftereffect. (I mean to the winos, not us). Basically the hangover effect is caused by dehydration, combined with the destabylizing effects of alcohol. The main effect is the dehydration. I could expand, but if you've had a few pints, you'ld throw up.The cure is IF YOU CAN REMEMBER IT after a night on the tiles, to drink AT LEAST a pint of water BEFORE collapsing on your bed. It's hard, but it works.

did you eat before drinking? your stomach is like a still all the sugar and starch from food already down there mix with the alchol and start to ferment gas is created and that is what gives you the stomach ake and a sore head. it takes 72 hours for your body to process the alchol. if you didnt eat same thing happends but your stomach had nothing to mix the alcohol with so it has a harder time processing. the way to avoid hangovers is to drink less or drink over longer periods of time ie 1drink 1 hour
and just as me where sympathy is
good day arby

A hangover is usually aused by dehydration of the body so if you only had 9 drinks and nothing else to drink last night you may be feeling it more than usual.

You may not have eaten enough for the alcohol to soak up, and drink loads of water....a pint preferably with a couple of nurofen, before you go to bed, then you won't suffer the next day at all!!

DOH! If only I practiced what I preach!hehe x

You were probably drinking something rot-gut! After a night of drinking, drink lots of water before you go to bed. It will greatly reduce hangover status in the morning

Whenever I drink a lot I always smoke a joint first thing in the morning. But that's just me. I don't get hangovers though. So it must be working.
