I'm looking for a box set of 3-4 martini/cosmo/margarita glasses for new years that cost about $10, because most likely they'll get broken by the end of the night.. any ideas? Especially for cute or colorful ones that could double as a Christmas present for my roommates..

I've tried places like JC Penney but they only sell them individually, and for about $5 each!

I'm going to be cooking a 3lb pot roast. I'm using one of those Mccormick bags that come with the seasoning and little cooking bag. I just wanted to know if anyone has any extra advice on how to make sure it does NOT dry out and stays juicy. Also additional seasoning tips are helpful
Thanks!

I have a ton of leftover croissants, so I'd like to take one of the meats and just make little sandwhiches. I'd like to have two meat appetizers, though, so I'm looking for ideas.

I'm hosting an after Christmas get-together and I'm serving appetizers/finger foods because of the lack of sit-down space and I'm sure everyone's tired of ham and turkey anyways.

Like I said, I hate cheese so I need something impressive but something that most cheese lovers would enjoy. Any and all ideas are appreciated!

So I took my first crack at making jerky a couple of weeks before the holidays and long story short the finished product ended up too salty, some of the thinner slices were nigh unedible.

I cured the meat for 1 hour using an improvised mix of iodized table salt and sodium nitrite from the lab I work in because I was not able to find a proper recipe nor official cure in the store. I did this in a 99 to 1 ratio based on some reading I found. Following the cure I rinsed the meats with water pretty well.

For the base marinade, which I believe is the culprit, I made a solution of soy sauce and Worcestichire sauce in a ratio of 2 to 1. Following that I split the liquid portion of the batch in two and spiced the halves differently, one was intended to be spicy while the other was more of Indian teriyaki I guess with saffron, both contained substantial portions of brown sugar which I figured would offset the saltiness which I was expecting to a certain degree.

What changes to make?

We are having fried catfish, garden salad and french fries. This is the catch -- there will be approximately nine people including myself. Their ages range from 53 to 90 years old and they are all african-american. I know you are probably thinking "What does their race have to do with it?". Well I'll tell you why ... they are old (especially the ones that are 60 and up) and they are very picky. If it's not southern-style food then they want no parts of it. Also, a lot of older people don't think younger people can cook -- at least not like them anyway.

I need something that they will eat. I know they love catfish so that's a win, but if I make some fancy appetizers chances are they'll end up in the garbage. I don't have any money to waste so I really need some suggestions.

I made some spaghetti about 6:30-7 last night and forgot to put it up. I remembered it at 7 this morning. My kitchen is in a colder part of my house and it was covered. The broiler was pretty cold to the touch and so was the food. I put in the fridge. Is it any good or should i throw it away?

Thanks

My wife found a bristle of a brush embedded in a candy she was eating. It scratched the inside of her mouth. I have the remaining piece and the wrapper. I called the company with the complaint, but I haven't heard from them yet. Any suggestions on how to handle this? I was looking for a law related catagorie but could find anything, so I chose this one. Thanks for any feedback!

Lets assume here in America that budweiser is the standard, the average.

I've tried buying cheaper beer that would give me the least headache/hangover as possible and I've came up with Natural Ice and Natural Light. Also Miller Lite and Miller Genuine draft.

I've tried plenty of other brands, but they are mostly lager and not good in the long run. Examples are Hurricane, Magnum, Colt, Steel Reserve, Ice House (not as bad as the others) Strolh (spelling) and on and on...
