I'm hosting an after Christmas get-together and I'm serving appetizers/finger foods because of the lack of sit-down space and I'm sure everyone's tired of ham and turkey anyways.

Like I said, I hate cheese so I need something impressive but something that most cheese lovers would enjoy. Any and all ideas are appreciated!

Chovhani -- I feel the same way. I never make ANYTHING I don't like, but I'm trying to impress the boyfriend's parents so I'm giving in.

I've always enjoyed this crab dip recipe (uses cream cheese):

* 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
* 1 small onion, minced
* 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
* 1 1/2 tablespoons prepared horseradish
* 1 (6 ounce) can crab meat, drained
* 1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
* 1 (12 ounce) jar cocktail sauce

In a medium size mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, onion, Worcestershire sauce, horseradish, crab meat and hot sauce. Mix well. Spread the mixture into an 8 inch glass pie pan. Cover the cream cheese mixture with cocktail sauce. Refrigerate until you are ready to serve.

Frankly I refuse to serve things I don't eat myself. Can you serve a crab dip instead? Always yummy.
