Does anyone have any good ideas for a 4th of July picnic salad? It can be made with fruit or vegis or both. I'm game for anything at this point. I need to come up with something real soon.

I'm looking for sides (with recipes) to go with a pork roast I'm making tonight.

The thing is, it's a Tangy Honey & Peach Glazed Pork Roast. That's why I'm having such difficulty deciding what type of side to go with it.

And no rice or mashed potatoes. If I have to eat either of those as a side one more time this week.... well, let's just say it's not going to be pretty...

I keep seeing eggs out of the fridge when at friends, yet in my house we always kept them in the fridge, and the storage advice always mentions the fridge... but they keep them out at the supermarket.

also if you have a way to cook okra without the slimminess how can I do that? I have a friend that made me some okra and potatoes over rice and her okra was fine but i've tried it a few times and its alway slimy, how can I avoid this?
