Who remembers the famous doughnut place and whatever happened to them? They did the best Doughnuts EVER i wish we could re open one....... any one know how they made them so damn gorgeous or where they got there stock from?

hi im planning a small picnic for myself and my girlifriends...6 of us in total. we're having fish and chips for lunch (theres a fish and chip shop near the park). and im taking along my BINGO set so we can play that for a while. On the weekend it will be quite hot summer days. im after ideas of what to take, and what else we can do at the picnic. ive already got picnic rugs to bring. thanks for all your help :)

With 5 a day, you're supposed to eat different types/colour of fruit and vegetables. So if i was to eat a red apple, for example, will it be counted as a different type of fruit if i ate a green apple? becasue i've heard that different colours are needed to get different vitamins and nutrients

Hi there. Last time I had these people over we had cucumber and tomato salad with vinagrette for the starter. The main course was chateubriand with onion flavored potatos and mushroms. The dessert was warm brownies smothered with vanilla ice cream, strawberries and hot fudge.

I need an equally impressive 3 course menu for next time they come over (Friday). One with starter, main and dessert.

And no pork or shellfish, we are having a Jewish celebration. (Shabbat)

I am trying to make some fried ice cream and so far it is turning out. But when my husband and I went out to eat the restruant they had some kind of sugar and cinnamon crust or something on the bottom. Like a fried thing that looked like crust....does anyone have any idea what it is and how to make it?

Read, before you call me racist. I was looking at some yoghurt ingredients, because I'm avoiding Conchineal. I heard Yoplait has it in their strawberry Yoghurt. Conchineal is a dye made from crushing bug. If you don't believe me, google it. Well I looked at Danon's Aptiva yoghurt and found Carmine. Its a purified version of Conchineal. THen I notice it has Kosher gelatin. So why bother getting kosher gelatin if bugs are not kosher?

I need to restrict my salt intake and so I'm wondering......what seasoning would be good for scrambled eggs besides salt. I have only used salt in the past and don't have time to make fancy omelets since I'm usually in a rush in the morning before work.

i remember when i was about 13 my neighbour worked for some company like steggles chicken or something like that but she used to bring us some really yummy thing back for us it was like a sqaure shaped fish cake type thing but it had lasagne in it also like a chicken or fish cake with lasagne filling in it....i loved that sooo much and i dont talk to her anymore nor do i have her contact details but i was wondering where i can find such a thing now? it's been like 10 yrs since ive had one ....does anyone else no the thing im talking about? and if so where can i buy it?
