I need to restrict my salt intake and so I'm wondering......what seasoning would be good for scrambled eggs besides salt. I have only used salt in the past and don't have time to make fancy omelets since I'm usually in a rush in the morning before work.

Hot sauce. Some companies make low sodium versions.

Tabasco has a sodium content of 30 mg/tsp. Not sure how good that is considering your personal restrictions, but...

I like pepper on my eggs personally, have you tried the salt substitutes?

Or make a sandwich with two slices of toasted bread and a slice of cheese and a fried egg? A lot of stores carry low sodium cheeses. You will have to look around.

I too need to restrict my salt. You will love this simple recipe with NO salt.

Scramble two eggs with feta cheese (crumbled).

There is enough salt and good flavor of the cheese. Just use pepper.

I have mine open face on toast with a side of apple sauce and/or a dollop of sugar free jam. Also a small glass of orange juice.

It's almost salt free and is sugar free and you have two fruits.

If by chance you don't know of feta cheese, it is goat cheese and you can find it in the deli. Be sure to get it crumbled. It comes in a small container. You can get several serving out of it. Try 1 to 2 table spoons.

You can experiment with it to see how much cheese you like in it. I always scramble two eggs for my self.

If you just use a small amopunt it won't hurt you. You need to watch soda, prepared foods like lunch meats, take out foods, chips, things like that. You can use katsup or salsa for flavor after cooking. Also seasoned salt by Mrs. Dash is ok.

Parsley.

For a real treat, try stawberry jam mixed with the scrambled eggs!

You must try that before you award the 10 points!!

My ex used to put oregano in his eggs. It was good. I have put garlic powder in them before but you have to make sure not too much. Just a sprinkle of the garlic powder maybe onion powder and the oregano makes a good dish.
