I love lobster, but can't enjoy it knowing that they are boiled alive (Can you imagine a worse way to go?) Is there any way to kill a lobster more humanely?

Anything from candy like Starburst, to granola bars, we are slowly getting more ripped off. When I was young, I could get a pack of Starburst for 40-50 cents and they were big squares of chewy goodness. Now days, they cost a dollar and are also much smaller quares. Also, clearly you can fit 16 granola bars in a box labeled for 10. I understand packing a little air in a bag of chips so we don't end up with all broken chips, but the companies are getting ridiculous with it. Some of you older people may notice that the ounces marked on various products is lower now than years ago, yet the box is the same size and the price still goes up. Why?

I've always been curious as to why the healthy food is so expensive compared to unhealthy foods. Also, why does the FDA approve these foods that are high in sodium, high in fat, have no nutritional value. That is why a lot of lower income families are obese. It is just too expensive to eat healthy. Having a fit body depends upon exercise AND diet. To me, is seems like a conspiracy. Raise the price of healthy foods, feed us cheap unhealthy foods, then rake in the money from the sale of the drugs we will need to "fix" our health. Yeah, I know the FDA doesn't rake in from the sales of the drugs, but they get benefits from the pharm company lobbyists.

We cook chicken and steak a lot here (3 bachelors) and we're all getting really tired of the same taste every night. We started cooking peppers and onions, mixing it with rice in a wok, and then just mixing in the chicken that we previously cooked in the wok with some brown sugar on it.

I was hoping someone could explain the basics of some kind of wine sauces. I love Marsala when I eat out, and my brothers enjoy Francese. Can I make something similar at home, cheaply, that's reasonably healthy? Just something to cook the chicken or steak in or put over the top so that I can mix up the taste every night. Thanks for the help.
