Singles & Dating - 17 June 2007

Okay a girl at work that I like tries to talk to me every now and then even though I don't really make an effort to speak to her. When she talks to me I keep it as short and proffesional as possilbe because I really like her alot but she has a boyfriend and I feel it's pointless to get close to a girl that I like if she has a man. Anyway, she came up to me the other day asking me how i'm doing and telling me that she missed me the other night when everyone from work went out together. I just gave a very short response and left the room. Without getting into details the next day she intentionally screwed me over at work, i'm guessing becuz I didn't really pay much attention to her the previous day. I like this girl alot but I'd rather keep my distance from her becuz I know she has a man, and work relationships are trouble anyway. Are her actions justified and am I being a jackazz?

this is continuing on from my "does he like me?" section.

whenever i go to his house he's so nice and he never takes his eyes of me. he makes a couple of stupid jokes but they make me laugh all the same. whenever we watch movies, he tends to slowly get closer to me and i don't know what to do. i like him but i don't know if he likes me in the same way!

For the past few years, whether at parties, bars, online, etc. it always seems as though it's cool for two straight girls to hook-up or "experiment". Girls who label themselves as straight are always talking about hooking up with other girls just for fun. It seems as though any straight girl is o.k hooking up with other girls. Are all women nowadays wired to be bisexual? Or do they adhere to the bi-curious bs? Or is it an attention thing?

There's this really jerky guy at my schook who writes rap songs about killing ppl and always goes on about how he's all that. He claims to "bear overwhelming intelligence", but yet he butt me, a girl a year younger than him in the caf line when I was all alone and he was with a group of guys. He also threw a full milk-carton at a girl whose supposed to be his friend and always pushes around ppl smaller than him. He's really getting on my nerves. How can I put him in his place?

well... im just sorta usin this as a way to vent my feelings... so its free points basically... but...

im extremely happy with my gf and we love eachother i rarely was told that a girl liked me before we started dating but now all kinds of girls are telling me they like me and stuff... the most unnerving case though was when this girl i barely know started sayin she loves me... and i honestly dont know the first thing about her... and now shes trying to break me and my gf up... it just makes me angry that people would be so selfish.... and why do people only like other people when theyre taken?

Ok i have know this guy for years but never had feelings for him, but than one night we stayed up talking all night and this continued for weeks just talking no kissing. Me and this girl really like each other. She says she wants to date but she won't date me because she is too scared she'll get hurt. I tell her she won't know unless we date and she says she knows that but a part of her won't let her date me. And tonight she even said that we're practically dating, just haven't actually became bf gf. 18 months ago I got chatting to this guy over a chat room. We waited for about 6 months before we met. We chat most days on MSN, send text messages, ring each other regularly. Over the past year we have met about 10 times. We are what we call close friends. When we are together we are great. Just on a friends basis. He calls me "an angel sent from heaven" and "One of the nicest gems"

Yesterday he wrote me an e-mail saying that he has met another lady friend. He wants to mention me to this lady? Why? I don`t bare any grudges if he wants to date someone else. Friendship is just as important.

I am left very confused, and I have to admit I have feelings for him. I have done for a long time.

It was just when he said that he was going to mention my name to this other lady....is he hiding his true feelings for me?

We are both in our 30s.

About him. He is a Guardsman, oldest boy in his family, close to his family, 5 years older than me (23yrs old), goes to church twice a week, handsome, overall good with kids, has little control over his facial expressions (which I don't mind), basically likes everyone and a complete sweetheart. His personality. Caring, comforting, listens, funny, honest, sometimes shy (but not all the time), considerate, trustworthy, understanding, kind, respectful, and not puffed up. When he hugs me he hugs me tight. Says he loves me (atleast as a friend). He took me on a road trip to meet up with his brother and mom who absolutely loved me. Taking me out to breakfast when he knew we weren't gonna see each other for about a month. Keeps saying that I can pretty much read him which I don't think I can. I've been told we flirt and I don't realize that we are. Been calling me ever week when on military duty. Do these actions have any significance?

I had a chance to blow up at this female because we had been mean to each other in the past,but ibstead i tried to be polite,maintain my temper to restrain from getting angry,focused on the good about her,,was gentle with her and gave her the space she needed.Shortly thereafter,she walked by me looking peaceful happy and with a bit of a smile on her face and was also more cordial.Did i behave properly?(we were in a public place,gym)and is her reaction a good thing?

My bf's ex gf (actually they lived together for years) is trying to befriend me. Showing the whole world that she's too kind that she is still befriending me even I have her bf now. I am just scared to trust coz after all the bad words she told my bf's family, friends and officemates, (such as m a flirt...i have a kid etc.) It became too hard for me to get their approval for the relationship...it took me 2 years to finally make them believe that its not me that girl keeps on telling. they don't even talk to me before....slowly i got their trust...and make them like me....but i've gone through real hardships...and now she can see m ok with the family and friends,she's befriending me...what should i do...actually i can't
hide the fact that i wanted to close the issue but she keeps on going where we are and following us...befriending everyone close to me and to my bf...to show that she's better than me..

My girlfriend Sherri found a post that my ex put on here asking why he cant be with me. He is just the oddest, I have told him so many times that he has anxiety and he still just acts like he has no clue what the problem is. He is upset that I date, but he told me to. I asked if we would get back together and he said he did not know. Now, he makes it sound as if its me moving on. He comes over to see me, phones and says he loves me... He is all over the board! I am getting close to my ex again, having split 4 mths ago.

She was honest from the start, telling me she had depression as a teenager along with anorexia/bulimia. She also told me early on that she suffers from chronic fatigue syndrome which gets her down, makes her unwell, tired etc

We broke up 4 mths ago as she said her feelings had changed. This coincided with her being down. Initially, she went to her dr who said she was depressed, she then said to me she wasn't, but was unhappy with the relationship & ended things.

We are back in touch now & are clearly very close still & there is something there. We have met twice in the last 2 wks & chatted generally but not about the relationship.

She mentioned to me that her dr has said she doesn't need to take prozac anymore which she was put on at the time things went wrong with us.

Now she is better should I raise us & also talk about her dealing with the depression??

What should I do? I do love her.
