About him. He is a Guardsman, oldest boy in his family, close to his family, 5 years older than me (23yrs old), goes to church twice a week, handsome, overall good with kids, has little control over his facial expressions (which I don't mind), basically likes everyone and a complete sweetheart. His personality. Caring, comforting, listens, funny, honest, sometimes shy (but not all the time), considerate, trustworthy, understanding, kind, respectful, and not puffed up. When he hugs me he hugs me tight. Says he loves me (atleast as a friend). He took me on a road trip to meet up with his brother and mom who absolutely loved me. Taking me out to breakfast when he knew we weren't gonna see each other for about a month. Keeps saying that I can pretty much read him which I don't think I can. I've been told we flirt and I don't realize that we are. Been calling me ever week when on military duty. Do these actions have any significance?

I also catch his staring, touch my arm or shoulder when we are done talking, is 30 minutes early picking me up if he can help it, gives me these smile that go to his eyes and are just heart melting cause they show so much, and tells me things he hasn't told anyone.

Another reason I don't try to read them is that I hate to assume things. Tends to get me in trouble.

Guys don't usually like to say "I love you" unless they really mean it. I can recall saying "I love you" to a guy and having him reply "I like you too." I haven't exactly figured out what tight hugs mean tho...but it shows he's comfortable with being that close.
He seems like a really really good friend and there's potential for more.
Watch for how he looks at you. Look at his eyes...they really do tell a lot. I've noticed that guys who have liked me give a certain type of look. They kinda stare at you in a "soft" way if you can hold their eyes. And there's usually a small smile.

It seems to me like he has a thing for you. Especially since he took you and introduced you to his family. Also the fact that he has been calling you while on military duty.

i am no expert so dont make your decision on what i have to say but i think he really likes you alot.And he sounds like a nice enough guy if i were a girl i mght like to date him.
