I had a chance to blow up at this female because we had been mean to each other in the past, but ibstead i tried to be polite, maintain my temper to restrain from getting angry, focused on the good about her,,was gentle with her and gave her the space she needed.Shortly thereafter, she walked by me looking peaceful happy and with a bit of a smile on her face and was also more cordial.Did i behave properly?(we were in a public place, gym)and is her reaction a good thing?

You acted properly and that is really what counts. Her reaction is really of no consequence as we are only responsible for our own actions.

i dont know if it shows integrity, but it shows your mature that you can be civil with someone you dont get along with. its unnecessary to start things when its not worth it, good job on maintaining your composer! i like to think that you dont have to like someone, but it is easier to try to just be civil.
