Singles & Dating - 20 March 2007

The condensed version is we starting going out and things were going great. A few months into it, something scared her and she started growing increasingly distant until she told me she needed to be on her own. We maintained contact and after a few months "on her own" we are a thing again ad things really are better than ever now. But, in the back of my mind, I can't shake the idea that I want to know what had her so spooked before. Was it something I did? B/c, if it was, I don't want to ever do it again. I don't think I have changed anything about myself or my approach to her and us, which is why I'm confused and curious. So, should I try and ask to set my mind at ease or let it go and enjoy things and try to forget about the past (b/c it's not easy)?

I am single & attractive I meet men who never want a relationship but yet they want sex?? Why do men have to be this way? Why can't they just except a good girl for who she is & stop thinking that they r missing out on something by roaming the streets? my best friend has a heart condition and she drinks a lot.
First of all does that matter? Its not a very serious one, wolf parkinsons white.
Shes tiny so it doesntt ake a lot to get her to be trashed. And is that true?
Anyways she is newly married to a guy that I dont like at all. Of course he acted all innocent before they married but now hes crazy. So she drinks not a ton but enough. He grabs her and makes her go to his work and around even when she doesnt want too because I believe he just wants to show her off. And she cant talk to her family that much either. What should I do?

One thins she was 100% sure of was I was gay. She said not all are, just me. I love her and respect her opinion, so it did scare me. The only way to prove her wrong is to try it to see if I like being with a man when dressed as a woman. Unfortunately, she did not want to help in anayway, no setups, no blinde dates, but she would love to teach me makeup etc, just not teach me how to see if she is right

My boyfriend and I have been together for over a year. We talked about marriage, we are buying a house together, and we're having a baby. I looked on his history a couple of weeks ago and he was taking out a lot of personals. Every email he gets is from someone contacting him about it. He works construction and is gone during the week. He wrote on most of his personals that he was just looking for one on one sex. He's been searching for girls in the city he works in. Someone told me that he tried to get in her pants, but he SWEARS up & down that he never saw this girl nor heard of a girl with that name. He has little or no contact with me unless it's for sex every 2 weeks. I've been dating him for 6 1/2 months & STILL don't know him that well. He's too ashamed to introduce me to his family, & our communication is spreading farther & farther apart. It's like he's nonexistent & imaginary. 1/2 of the time I forget I have a boyfriend & think I'm single.

Does this sound like a sign of controlling & abusive behavior? Well, he's 4 yrs. younger than me. He told me that if I chose to leave him & believe the girl over him, then I'd have to see a side of him that I've never seen before. I take that as a threat. I have a college degree, & he's a sophomore. He's 19, & I'm 23, & he thinks he has more sense than I do. I'll be DAMNED if a younger guy was to beat on me! I never before saw his temper, but the way he describes it sounds scary.

My Boyfriend is in the Navy and lives a few states away from me. We will be seeing each other every couple months this year until I move down there with him. Have have been together for a few years now but I am still not able to get used to him going out to sea for anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months. Everytime he leaves it gets harder. Our only comunication at that time is email that is delayed 3 days. He does the typical thing of telling me not to worry but I can't seem to help it. It scares me so much knowing that he is out to sea and I am 10 states away from him and if anything happened to him I wouldn't be able to be down there by his side right away. Can anyone help me find ways to ease my mind about him being gone so much? I work and I go to the gym and go out with my girlfriends but once I get home and I lay down in bed to try and go to sleep all that worry just sort of comes back to me. How do I relax and try and calm down?

i posted a question about my friend being threatened by her now ex boyfriend....today she went to his house to get her stuff because he said she could. On her way over there she found out that he really did cheat on her and gave her HPV, and he started to threaten her again.

He said that he was going to bash her car and come after her and that she was going to die...she told him to stop and that she was going to call the cops, but he kept comming back up to her, throwing her stuff out of his house and threw a couple of knives at her (thank god they missed) and then he threw a statue at her car and broke her windshield....that is where she drew the line and called the cops

the neighbor and her ex's dad watched the whole thing and did nothing, she was on the phone with her friend and he did nothing (the guy on the phone is also friends with her ex though)

the cops did NOTHING, they said that all he would have to do is pay for the windshield and THEY GAVE HIM BACK HIS KNIVES...

Here is a little bit about us. Currently we are getting drunk together and having sex but, Im so in love with him so im okay with this. He touch and kisses tell me that he likes me too, Im one of the people who are like omg i think he likes me and jumps on it. even if they dont. How does a guy behave if he's really into you? I believe he has fancied me for ages but he's not asking me out! He wants to know my romantic situation and asks serious searching questions about it. I keep saying I am now single and ready for another relationship and lightly flirting with him. I am always polite and look into his eyes, I laugh with him and create opportunities but he's not following through! It appears like he's in love with me - my daughter (aged 13) saw us together once and he made a big effort to talk to her and she said "God Mom, he fancies you!" I have only ever had a relationship with my daughters Dad and he left quite a few years ago so I'm a bit clueless.I really fancy him too but I want to be clear that he's into me so I can maybe drop some more hints or ask him myself! His name is Paul and he's so sweet and caring. I've known him for about 4 and a half years and I see him pretty much everyday now. But things started to change around us. He started acting weird. All the time now he wants to be alone with me. He sometimes picks me up from school. Even on vacation he asked me if It was past my bedtime (jokingly) and said that he's going to go and hit the sac also. His room is right next to mine. And did I mention his girlfriend was also there? I told him no and he said that he can wait a little bit longer seeing that all of us were playing uno.
