I've been friends with benefits with a guy for four months now, but I want more. Trying to make this situation into a real relationship hasn't gone good. Should I continue to try and make a relationship with my FWB or break it off and try to make a relationship with someone else.

I recently became single, not nice but I'm not too hung-up, these things happen. I know I'm a good catch and something better will come along – eventually.

I've had some really horrible relationships, I deserve a good relationship, but right now I know that being single is best for me, but I also know that I want to start looking for long-term relationships again, settling down – granted I feel left behind as all my friends are jumping head-first into marriage, family, etc.

There seem to be so few ways to meet people, when I do find someone I worry about settling, and it concerns me even more that they turn out to be not-so-good so I'm left alone again or feel rejected by people I shouldn't worry myself over. I hate this transitional period between loves, you know you have to wait and can't force it, but you also know you could be waiting for years, fear being alone.

How can I whack some sense into myself and make myself feel happy about being single? – Could be worse.

After having been dumped twice miserably by the same woman,...and feeling the pains of her whimsical ending of our 5 year relationship together...(by the way...no explanation for any of these departures was given either)... why is it I still have deeply hidden desires to wanna be with this unexplained departure filled woman? I know it seems silly,...but I should actually be pissed off more then anything else. We haven't verbally communicated or talked since last November,...and my friends all say I should stay clear of her without question. What do my friends know about her that they're simply not telling me?...and why? She still confides in a couple of my pals. So what's up with that stuff reasonably? My feelings for this woman are not feeling normal by most of my previous relationship standards. I should be looking in another direction right now to deflect recent events assuredly. So why am I still stewing about her anyways? Any thoughts reasonably?....and try to be nice about it.

I was dating this guy for 3 years, we got engaged the last year of the relationship. Six months ago we broke up; I ended it because I felt like he did not appreciate what he had at home. For example he stayed out late and I found out he was talking to an ex on the phone. Besides that no real extreme issues. I was just fed up so I ended it. He pleaded and pleaded to try to work it out...I ignored him and his calls. I recently ran into him at a get to gather our friends had. We had not seen each other in almost 6 months. I knew he was there but he did not know I was coming. He was shocked! We all (friends and him) talked about our break up. He says he has really changed and realized what a good person he lost. Should I believe him and give him another chance?

Ok, this guy has been head over heals for me for the last seven years. I have never actually felt that i loved him back, but i think that peer pressure prevented me from doing so. Now that we are in college ive realized how much of a ***** i am and i feel that he deserves better than me. I tried every way i could think of to make him see me as just a friend and even though he said he would prefer that over nothing, it was very obvious that he was still in love with me. So i did the only thing i could think of and quit talking to him, period. He wrote me many emails and letters desperatly trying to find out what he did wrong, but i ignored them all. A week ago he facebooked me saying he was done with me and could not imagine how the girl he fell in love with could turn out to be such a cold hearted *****. Well, i got what i wanted but now i feel so horrible. I want him to be happy, and find a girl who will give him the love he deserves, but its killing me. Am i in the right?

The other night we were joking around but being serious at the same time, and i said that we would never have sex again, and she said she was fine with that, and that she didnt "need" sex. and than i asked her if she even likes doing it or if she does it just to make me happy, and she said both, she does it sometimes cause she wants to and other times cause i want to. now i have told her before that i dont "need" sex either so im not to concerned about that but should i feel bad that she dose it sometimes cause i want to and that she dosent need it or is she just being a normal women????

My boyfriend had been going through issues for the last couple months, his grandpa died, he was drinking more and seemed depressed. We started getting along better the last few months, but it still seems like he just doesn’t really care about me or my feelings. This past weekend, he came home after working all day. And he said he sort of wanted to go out. Which was fine, I wasn’t feeling so good so I didn’t want too. But I told him to go if he wanted. He even said I was making it easy to go. But he said he didn’t want too. But then when I got up from the couch, he called his bro ‘just to see if he could come get him if he did want to go out’. It was clear he wanted to go, even though he denies it. Then he said the lights were on at his parents, so he was going to go check. But he was drinking a beer, so he got dressed in ‘going out’ clothes and never went to his parents…kinda odd.
I really thought he wanted to go out, so I just said “I want to be alone so just go”. And he called his bro to come get him. Fair enough.

So while we were waiting for him to go, we got into a fight and he told me he didn’t love me. Which is like the 6th time, and then said it was just out frustration.

Then he didn’t come home till the next day late. Now every time he has gone out like this, we fight, he leaves and stays out all night…he comes home with a girl’s phone number. He says they are just friends, some even have boyfriends….so he says. But is not WEIRD?

I’m not there…he gets a girls number?

Or am I reading too much into this? We live together and have been together almost two years now. I don’t want to break up, but I think some days it just not worth it. He doesn’t seem to even care about me.

well my mom ask me to post this [[[[she is in her middle fortys and she lost her foot 2005 and she is young looking because of top of the line creams and she takes care of her health and point blank she'a lonly and losing all hope on finding the man she needs,,you cant notice the missing foot cause she walks really great with the fake foot and she dresses the in style and it suits her ,,man people think were sisters i mean she wants feed back to boost her selfessteem about this will she find that loveing man who'll except her the way she is or do men find that gross ,,or are ther men out ther who dont care and look past the foot thing help my mom feel good and possitive on finding that man she needs it,,i love her and i beleave that man will come oneday i hope it wont be to late ..

Do you guys think it's possible for someone to walk away from a 7-year relationship and not be bothered by it or be depressed? I broke up with my boyfriend of 7 1/2 years and I don't seem to be upset at all - I'm just wondering if I'm still in denial and if the depression, etc. will hit later.
