Ok, people can be addicted to so many things. Casinos, Drugs, Alcohol etc. While participating in the addiction the person obviously knows that this is not good for them but they can't stop doing whatever it is they are doing for reasons unknown.

My question is, I have been in a relationship with someone for five years now. He and I are not good for each other. The relationship has been dragging me down for a long long time. I am fully aware of this. I know that I want more out of life that this relationship has or ever will offer me. I mean, it has even come to the point of him telling me that he wouldn't be bothered if I moved on or found someone new but for some reason unknown, I cant seem to let go. What is the deal?

So my girlfriend broke up with me because "our personalities don't match" but we had been dating for 2 1/2 years and she went out on a couple of dates with one of my friends 6 and 7 days later and they were "officaly" dating 9 days after she dumped me. I'm rally torn up and my "friend" isn't being too friendly about it and she won't even give me the time of day. But I am still have dreams about her every night and it's been 2 weeks. There is another girl that my friends and her friedns think i should talk to but i don't really know what to do. I kinda like her but i know i still love my ex and it would not be fair to the girl if i went out with her and i really didn't like her and i was just looking to be with someone. So should i try really hard for my ex because i know i love her or should i go on to the other girl and forget all about it?

Me and this guy were dating but after 3 months he got on my nerves....He had a series of events that weirded me out

1) He got mad at me when a guy tried to hug me and i said NO!!
2) I went on a 2 week FAMILY vacation so he cried and watched a video of me EVERY night!!
3) He talked about kids and what he wanted to name them...(we had only been dating 3 weeks)
4)He cried when he thought I was cheating on him (because he heard laughing in the background)
5)And FINALLY he got mad because I wouldn't get jealous of other girls talking to him.

--EXTRA INFORMATION: I was only 16 and we never new each other prior to when we were dating.

My boyfriends Bday was on Saturday. I planned a big party and we all got pretty smashed. WE had initially said we would like to go home early. I ended up getting too drunk, he put us in a cab, takes me home and then leaves again! He doesnt call all night and never comes home. He didnt call till 10am the next day, I asked him where he stayed and he said at this girls house (who is his friends mistress) He swears nothing happened, and I trust him, but I cant get over the fact that he has no consideration for my feelings. I broke up with him..am I being too dramatic?

My mother thinks my guy is a little too old for me. He is thirty three and I'm 21 years old. I really like this guy. However, my mom makes my little brother call me on my cell every time we go out on a date more than once. I only imagine he is annoyed. He told me is getting used to dating someone this young. But, I'm really afraid he'll break up with me because of my mother and brother who is only twelve.
Do you think he'll break up with me? Please help me someone.

A guy friend of mine told me that he fantasises about me all the time. And I fantasise about him too.

Is this still considered a platonic friendship?

How do I know which one to go out with?

1st guy: cute, good personality, outgoing, friendly, seems interested, has a good sense of humor. The only thing is that he seems to give into peer pressure a lot, but that's not a big deal.

2nd guy: confident, cute, can be quite serious and yet has a good sense of humor at the same time, he is also fairly intelligent. The only thing with him is his confidence is a girl magnet, literally. He seems interested, but who knows.

I just don't know, what do you guys think? Thanks in advance!

I met a nice, well-educated man online 2.5 yrs ago and at that time we chatted from time to time online and even shared some phone conversations. He seemed to be a very busy individual so I did not initiate further contact with him. We rescently have started talking again via online and the phone (beginning of January) and he is totally into me and says he wants to move to the state I live in and be with me. I am 34 and he is 37. He said he did this one other time with someone when he was in his 20's (met a girl one weekend and moved across country to be with her and was with her for 4 yrs). He is determined to get married and has made it very clear he wants to and wants it to be me! He is flying me out to meet him in person next month...am I crazy? He says if things go well with this meeting he wants to move to my state with intentions to marry me. On top of all this I just got out of a serious relationship less than 2 mnths ago. What do I do?? Any advise would be helpful.

Ok this may sound stupid to some, but I am starting to feel old. I am 24 and still in college and won't be done till I am about 26. I know everyone gets old at some point, but at 24 I think its abnormal to already be feeling old. I am just wondering if 24 is considered old for college. Is this considered to be a young age still? I mean when I was 18 I used to think 24 was old. I guess it just matters who you are talking to, but I am so curious. Thankyou for any answers.

Hey everyone,

It's often been said that, to truly win a girl over, all you got to do is make her smile and laugh. I'm not proposing a question of "how-to" but rather want an account from both sexes of your personal experiences.

For the ladies: What was your favorite experience that made you smile silly and giddy?
For the fellas: What worked in getting the girl to smile?
