Trim it. You can buy special bikini line trimmers which are battery operated and you CANNOT cut yourself with them. You can keep it really short and neat and it's no drama.
Don't shave, you can get funny little bumps and the hair grows back so prickly. It's awful. You can get ugly ingrown hairs too. If your hair pokes out the sides of your undies, you should wax those bits off (professionally) instead of shaving. NO SHAVING!

I would definatly shave. I never done that stuff but if I did I would shave, it would be more embarrassing to not to shave and him not to like it,

Just trim, so it's not a disaster area. and just remember to have fun. I wouldn't shave right away, considering you've never done it? you would have ingrown hairs.... just trim.
