Singles & Dating - 16 February 2007

I have been seeing this guy for 10 months and I really honestly believe I love him, we have I guess, what you would say a long distance realationship I see him almost every week, he is only a little over an hour away from me. My issue is I don't honestly know if he loves me I mean he says he does, also he says he misses me, but then sometimes he says he really likes me and cares for me more then a friend, I don't know how to take this! Does he love me or not, I just need to be certain, I know I have some trust issues which is my own fault, but am I just being paronoid thinking that he doesn't love me when he says he cares for me more then friends?

hi guys

my boyfriend is a great person, honestly, i dont see anything wrong with him besides the fact that he drinks alot.. he gets drunk and he just isnt himself.. he doesnt get all violent or anything but it's just not the person i know.. he doesnt do it often but he's turning 18 soon and he's excited because he says he'll be going to pubs and clubs more often and obviously drinking there too.. i really care about him and i think he has to much more potential if he focused on other things as well rather than drinking.. he doesnt think he's going to do well in school ( i know he can, and so do his friends) and he says he'd rather just enjoy life and by doing that he'll just go out and drink..

he knows i dont like it but he says its nothing and that he's fine. i'd like to beleive him on that but i can't help but still worry.. i want him to stop or at least cut down and see what he can really do rather than waste his time wasting himself..

please help

There is this guy and we haven't seen eachother in a few months and I was really starting to miss him since he moved away. Well on Valentine's Day I sent him a text message and this is what i said..."Happy Valentine's Day, hope your day is filled with love and joy today". Well he texted me back and said the same. The next day Feb 15th he came by my house becuase he was in the neighborhood, and I just grabbed him and gave him a big hug. It seemed like he liked that,but Iam not sure. Do you think he likes me?

I've been dating this guy for a few months, but every time it seems he's ready for a committment, he pulls back. He says he'd be really paranoid to be my boyfriend, because I attract alot of attention from men. I seriously dont dress provocatively or flashy, PLUS, I live in new york city, where men hit on every girl that walks down the street. Ok well, lately (the past few days) my boyfriend has been acting strange around me. He deserts me after school and he doesn't give me hugs and I don't know what to do. Me and my boyfriend have been together for a number of months now and he lives across the map on the east coast (no internet love) while I stay here in the west coast. He keeps telling me that we are going to bridge the gap and move together. I ask him when he says soon, then tells me he loves me all the time. It was all a matter of money issues. So just recently I lucked up and received a hefty settlement, and told him that I have the funds to help me move closer to him in which we could get our own place and now his excuse is that he doesn't want me to have to pay all the moving cost by mself. I'm 32 years old and feel that I've been in school and working to achieve my educational goals my whole life. I thought that I had found the perfect person, but when I was forced to move away for more career training, he couldn't wait and broke up w/ me. I've been dating this musician/artist for about 6 months, and at first i really thought i was his rebound because a year ago his ex-girfriend of 6 years broke his heart. We spend holidays together and he tells me he cares about me, yet for a while he seemed really confused as to whether he wanted a relationship with me (we're 8 years apart). I really care for him, but he's been really hurt before and i'm scared to get hurt too. On valentine's day, he said some things that made me feel like he's finally ready to get serious, but I'm scared to ask because every time i try to talk about anything of the sort he changes the subject. I would just let things flow, but i feel that i need to know now before I get too attached and get hurt. I've met all his friends, and although his life seems a little out of whack (he's in debt, smokes too much pot), while my life is just beginning to blossom, I really like him and want to know how to ask him how he thinks we can make this work.

My boyfriend and I have been going out for about a month, and the Sadie Hawkins dance is coming up soon. My mom won't let me go until she meets him, and that's not a problem. But I don't know where she should meet him at. He's great, not a bad boy, and very sweet, but I just don't know how they should meet.

We don't live in a big town -- more of a country town.
I'm not too big on him coming to my house quite yet. My family is a little bit nutts.
He can't drive, we're only 15.

My boyfriend is aware that I am celibate and said that he is fine with it. He says that I am worth the wait. Now, I'm not so naive as to think that holding hands will suffice throughout our relationship but I am adamant about remaining celibate until marriage. i have a problem. my problem is that when i meet a beautiful girl i say hi and introduce myself but later on (like 5 or 10 minutes later) i will run out of things to say. she will (sometimes) talk to her other friends or dont say nothing at all for awhile until something interesting comes up in her mind to talk about. so i would like to know how to start a conversation and keep it going until i notice that she starts to like me. plz help!!!

I like this girl named Alisa...but we have been best friends since we were three. Should I cough up the guts and tell her...Another thing I am worried about is my parents. My good friend and I have agreed to disagree on this subject. She met a man at the train stop she is interested in and she feels it mutual but he hasn't asked for her ph # so she wants to offer it. They have only chit chatted about the weather so to speak, nothing personal yet. It has been off and on for about 3 weeks.

I say she shouldn't because if he was interested, he would have already asked.
