My good friend and I have agreed to disagree on this subject. She met a man at the train stop she is interested in and she feels it mutual but he hasn't asked for her ph # so she wants to offer it. They have only chit chatted about the weather so to speak, nothing personal yet. It has been off and on for about 3 weeks.

I say she shouldn't because if he was interested, he would have already asked.

Women, please feel free to answer as well.

What's the harm? If she asks, he should be flattered, even if he doesn't give it to her. Instead, she should probably ask him if he likes coffee or something, first, though; direct is good, but it can also push a guy away in a hurry. Still, we're slowly knocking down the old convention that guys have to make the first move, and no one will hold it against her if she gives it a swing.
