Ok, long story short...I lived in Ireland for 2 years (I'm American) where I met this great guy. Things were amazing with us for the most part, except I always felt like a part of him was pulling away from me and he could never tell me how he felt about me. Due to circumstances beyond my control I eventually had to leave and he wasn't ready for a big commitment so I guess we sort of broke up. We hadn't spoken in months (but did text message a bit).

Over the last month we've been talking on the phone more frequently and I thought we were in a sort of "friend" zone. But for Valentines Day he got me a card (I completely forgot about the holiday myself!) where he wrote this NOVEL talking about how he missed me "loads." This is a big deal for him. He never did that much when we were actually together. We "broke up" at the end of July and I've been doing my best to move on, but now this happens.

What's his deal?

My whole life i was a very crazy person...i was living a wild lifestyle of partying and pretty much everything you can imagine. Then just when i calmed down and my life was getting quiet i met a girl. This girl was amazing and i pretty much fell imn Love with her at first sight. This love however was not how all my other "love" was. she was very attractive but i wasnt wasnt even looking at her in a physical way. i was simply in love with her as a being.

I then found out she was a very strict christian and we couldnt have any kind of relationship because although i am trying to accept God into my life im not at her level of spirituality. I am a very successful musician and Model so it isnt a physical or human thing.

But why would God introduce me to the girl of my dreams and never have it in his plans to connect us???

Why do women feel the need to be with a bad guy, one who treats like crap or has a kid with them and leaves them to deal with it. Then they want to get with a nice guy, but offten they feel they can't handel a nice guy showing them love and respect or they call them a clinger, when in fact they just want to show there love for that girl that has been hurt, a true nice guy will not hold your past against you and will help support you in anyway he can.

It makes it hard for a guy who wants to show their love for a women that has been hurt because most women don't or won't show there love for the nice guy and in turn makes him feel like he has done something wrong or un wanted.

I know I have feelings towards a women that has a child, but she has closed off her feelings because she does not want to be hurt, I know in time she will open up, and I will take what feelings she can give me, but if your on to a good thing why hold off?

I've been dating this guy for several months. We see each other about 2 or 3 wknds a month because we live about an hour away. I have met a few of his friends and briefly his parents. We do have sex, but its not the focus when we see each other. In the first few months he called me daily. Now, he calls much less often. For Valentines, I saw him the weekend before and he didn't give me anything. On Valentines Day he didn't even call. When he introduces me, he introduces me as his "friend." I'm disappointed don't even feel like calling him right now. perhaps I should just move on and forget about him or am I just over reacting?

I have been dating my b/f for 1 year and a month now, and yesterday he didnt get me anything for Valentine's day. He said he didnt think "it was that important to me". I got him a Xbox 360 game. I like this guy and well he says he like a "challenge"! Well i don't really know what i'm suppose to try and be or anything. I mean i'm not going to change who i am. Well, i like this girl and i have for a long time.. i have basically liked her from the first time we met, which was 2 years ago. and i have started talking to her a lot within the passed few months, and her freinds says she likes me and everyone knows i like her.. but yesterday her and i were talkin about who we like.. and she guessed like 5 dif. girls then i gave the most obvious clue then she guessed her, and she said oh after she guessed.. then she had me guess... and yeah i guessed like 5 guys... and the guy she likes wasnt me.. i was hurt pretty bad when i figured out it wasnt me, and she said she didnt want to like him... but idk how people can say that...but i just want to give up on her.. so my question is, should i give up and ignore her.. or try to keep things the same as they have always been... thanks

was seeing this guy from september nothing to serious as he was just out of a long relationship. so last nite i txted him happy valentine's day, he replyed oh thanks very much, so i said i will ring him and he didn't answer, then i got txt from him saying sorry can't talk out for dinner, but i had a feeling he was lying so i rang his house phone mother answered and i asked to speak to him she said i get him for you to my shock, so when he came to phone he was quite shocked it was me as i caught him out lying and i told him to look up the definition of honestly and the meaning was what he was not , and that he was not the man i thought he was and said he was a waste of my time and hung up. i felt better after that as i really like him. so trying to get on with my life now and need words of encouragement.

what if you realise after you've been dumped/ broken up by your partner that it was your fault.

think its happened to me.

I wasnt really showing my feelins towards my ex for some reason. dunno whether we got under eeachother's skins or what.

but I used to go out with my mates or jsut stay in and chill out without her- and enjoy it. I was thinking for a while whether I was happy and if things were working.

Then she ended it ( found out from her mates because I showed my feelins to late )

Ive said I would change but I dont think she believes me. she says she is happy how she is. I dont blaime her because I wasnt very loving in the last few weeks.

Though believe it or not all my true feelins have come back. I cant stop thinking of her yet I know i could try move on ( it wont be easy )

But I believe so strongly that things would work-but its trying to get that across to her. im given her space. hopefully see will make first contact and say she has been missing me

Me and my mates were having a laugh down the pub the other day about my girlfriend smelling a bit downstairs. she ended storming out of the pub. when i got in the next morning she was still in a mood. I told her not to be so silly and all women had that problem, but she's still mad with me. Any ideas on how i can make her see sense? its doing my head in now.

I was with this girl for 5 years
my job keeps me away 7-10 day at a time but than I can take off us much as I want to
4 years into the relationship she becomes unaffectionate, distant, cold all the typical behavior of a woman who wants to break up and she did....but she was back the same night with big tears telling me how sorry she was for hurting me and wants me back....since i still loved her we got back together
but I made her promise if she ever has an issue come talk to me and we work it out
she did agree to that but year later around late September early October of 2006 she start to do the same thing but worse....she would change her plans 3-4 times a day just to avoid me when I got back to town
not answer calls etc...if I was lucky enough to spend some time together she behave like a friend not a girlfriend....even in bed when we were sleeping ....no not having sex....just sleeping and I tried to take her in my arms as I did for 5 years she would push my arm away and than in the morning when I asked what was that all about she would say “oh I was just sleeping, sorry” but I know she was not
then Oct17 sweetest day after I tried to arrange some time wither and sending nice txt msg she tells me she does not believe in sweetest day when for the past 5 years she did...she change plans that day 3 more times so I confronted her and thats when she said she needs some time to figure out who she is
two weeks later we broke up and her only excuse was that she was 19 and I was24 when we met and she is changing
its been few months now, but I'm resenting her more and more as time goes by.....if she acted like an adult and was honest with me and told me up front maybe we could have been friends but all she did was lies lies lies and deceiving.....and women wonder why all the guys out there are jerks
as far as I'm concerned she broke up with me on sweetest day after 5 years of loving relationship ( never had a fight)
will I ever stop resenting her for it?
