Because the people behind the clothing companies know that females are willing to pay more! And that females care more about what looks good, even if there's less material, lol.

Also, men underwears tend to be made of cotton and in absolutely simple style, which would be low cost to produce too.

As for regular clothing, women feel the need to be different then everyone else, so why should it be any different for panties? Whatever is comfortable, sexy and makes me feel good, will be bought by me, regardless of the cost. Men are lucky and don't feel the need to buy expensive underwear...I mean come on most men hold on to their underwear longer then they can hold on to a job! It's not until they need to impress a woman that they will actually go out and purchase a new pair...am I right ladies?

Hope this helps.

That's not true. Men's underwear can be expensive too, and cheap women's underwear also comes in three-packs. It's really all based on what you like to buy. Read this blog and you'll find out that there's a lot of expensive underwear out there for men. http://underwearblog.blogspot.com

No, you can buy a three pack of panties for 10 bucks. It's just that you want some fancy underwear to make yourself feel sex. Do you think most men prance around in their boxers thinking "oh I'm going to get laid tonight!" Nope, but women do!

Retail acts on demand. Women are more picky about their underwear and they have more of a demand. We don't want basic white or black cotton granny panties. They see that and run with it. They can charge us for each pantie at any price because we do see a pair that we have to have and we'll buy it or them. Men usually go to buy underwear when needed, not oh those are cute or those would match my bra perfect. and buy some when were just grocery shopping or`something.

Because women will pay more because it costs more .They
look at the most expensive items first. then buy no lower
than a fourth of the way down in price.. whereas men always
look at the low end prices first, then only up a fourth..Well maybe
most of the time. What man would pay 5,000 dollars for a suit
or 2 or 3,000 for a pair of shoes or a purse.. A lot of women
do only because it cost more.,The Marketing geniuses know
where all the live ones are .. He He..

A few things...1. Alot of the time, the materials/fabric/lace are more expensive than men's underwear materials, making the final product more expensive. 2. Because manufacturers know alot of women like to feel sexy and wear cute panties, so they KNOW they can up the price, because you WILL pay for them.

The companies who make underwear know if they charge me to much for my underwear I wont wear any. Real men don't care. I shower a few times a day, throw on a pair of shorts under my pants and I'm set.

Woman don't have that option, there "down there" is a bit more temperamental and prone to infection.
So the underwear company's have woman by the ba.. (kind of).

first of all we dont ask for silk - cotton is fine
secondly we dont ask for laces - we dont care how they look
third of all, we can go commando anytime -- so why spend over 10 bucks buying underwear????

last but not least and the most important of all - it takes a girl less effort to get a guy to take off his underwear, and vice versa it takes a guy far more to get a girl to take off her panties.

we pay less - more effort
girls pay more - less effort

how is it unfair??
