was seeing this guy from september nothing to serious as he was just out of a long relationship. so last nite i txted him happy valentine's day, he replyed oh thanks very much, so i said i will ring him and he didn't answer, then i got txt from him saying sorry can't talk out for dinner, but i had a feeling he was lying so i rang his house phone mother answered and i asked to speak to him she said i get him for you to my shock, so when he came to phone he was quite shocked it was me as i caught him out lying and i told him to look up the definition of honestly and the meaning was what he was not , and that he was not the man i thought he was and said he was a waste of my time and hung up. i felt better after that as i really like him. so trying to get on with my life now and need words of encouragement.

He probably just wanted a bit of space if he has just come out of relationship, and didnt want to hurt you, or lead you on especially if he is not ready for a relationship. Sometimes guys think they are looking after your interests and do stupid things... May be you ought to try talking to this guy? see what he thinks? If you can respect his feelings and talk, you could end up with a fantastic relationship but going in like a bull in a china shop not so good

You felt in your gut that something was not right, so you went with it and caught him lying to you, you did the right thing and you said the right thing now you can go on and find someone that you deserve that will not lie to you, that will treat you the way you need to be treated. What a rat,on valentines day aswell.I think you should go with your first instincts,you have soooooo done the right thing,you don,t need a man who treats you with disrespect and lies to you,Stick with your guns...dont let him creep back into your life,do something positive for yourself,like get your hair or nails done or buy yourself something to cheer you up..Hopefuly next valentines day you will have met someone a bit more sincere.Good luck.

Woah you crazy lady, he didn't wanna talk to you for who knows what ever reason, and you went pyscho on him, checking up on him? You are not his jailer! Maybe he was embarrassed he was in with his mum on valentines day, maybe he had a headache and didn't wanna talk, maybe his friend was late picking him up! get a grip chick, you give all girls everywhere a bad name when you act loony. You just hang in there. By the sounds of it, he probably wasn't worth worrying about in the first place anyway. Honesty is key to any relationship and if he can't grasp even the basics of companionship then he doesn't deserve you.

ok i understand u but from the other side it was nothing big ..sometimes ( i know we shouldnt ) but we do this small lies because we need some time for us and we do not know how the other will take it ......well , see what he is doing next , if u feel like talking to him again ( after he gets in touch of course ) tell him that he could tell u he wanted space for himself

Something like that happened to me once,a guy i met said he was working and couldn't see me,unfortunately for him my best friends boyfriend was the taxi driver that picked him and his friends up that night he was 'working'. Needless to say i didn't bother with him again. Stick to your guns,it's good to hear you gave him your thoughts last night,he'll be kicking himself now. Liars always get caught out.
