Singles & Dating - 5 February 2007

My boyfriend's first love died of leukemia. Its been years since she passed away, but he thinks about her some times, listens to music that reminds him of her, even his email address and usernames for websites he adds an L at the end of his name for her name. I'm not jealous or worried. I just feel like maybe I'll never be number one. Maybe I'll never compare to her. I can't talk to him about this subject...he made me promise never to bring it up. That's why I'm asking this question on Yahoo! Answers.

I'm a virgin college freshman dude. I don't think I'm physicially unattractive. In fact, I like my body- I'm 5'11.5" and weigh 180 pounds, with little fat. I just didn't get to make love with girls because I was busy studying and playing sports. Now I'm at my dream school, and I'm strongly attracted to a girl in one of my classes. She's a very intelligent girl, so I don't think she's dumb enough to sleep with anyone. However, I bet she has some sexual experience because she's physicially attractive (I know this is a really stupid thing to say, but most good-looking girls seem to become sexually active in high school). She seems to be interested in me to a certain degree, so I plan on asking her out in the near future. One thing I'm worried about is my lack of sexual experience. What will she think of me? That's what I'm worried about. What do girls think about virgin dudes? Do they respect virgin dudes? Or ridicule them?

Should it concern me that my boyfriend still talks on the phone and writes e-mails to one of his ex-girlfriends? She does not live in the same city and they went to grad school together and have similar careers? Should I care or just forget about it?

I told the boy I like I was getting him something for x-mas cuz we're like bro and sis(thats how close we are) and he said ok ill get you one too

fast foward to xmas break me= no present him=1dozen cookies (homemade)

then my friend tells me this is why i didnt get a present:

"he was talking to cassie-asking wut he should get you" said my friend, "then jake came up and was saying why are you getting he something-she's ubsessed w/ u, if you get her something" my friend continued, "and he kept agreeing with jake"

so yeah i was mad because im not obsessed w/ him and i jst like him

im mad because he listened to jake who thought he knew about my feelings when he didnt coco (the guy i like) jst assumed it was true

ive been ignoring him now and have been relle mean and he seems to be talking to me more

my 3 questions:

(1) is that a logical reason to be mad @ him
(2) why does he talk 2 me more when im mad @ him
(3) should i tell him why im mad @ him (he keeps asking)

basically my friend told me that he wanted to break up with his gf. it turns out me and his gf is closer than me and him are. so he said not to tell her but i did. because i felt bad and i didnt want him to tell her once they made two months. so basically i told her that he wanted to break up with her. and now she's distraught and sad. and i feel bad. how can i help her?? any words of advice??

ok ive liked this one boy for a long time now his name is george. well i always walk down this hallway with my best friend denice and my other friend Nu'Chelle. Awhile ago Denice told George that i liked him. Well anyway we were walkin down dat hallway ( i walk down that hallway pretty often) and Nu'Chelle was like are you gonna say hi to your friend george. i got embarrassed and walked away. And so after i walked away Denice asked George are you tired of that girl harrassing you, all he did was laugh and then she said something like she's a stalker or she's stalking you(which im not) and he laughed again but Denice told me that he said i was a stalker and i got so mad that i was about to fight him until today when she told me what really happened and i couldnt believe her. Why would she tell me that, i was so mad at him, i thought he called me a stalker like in a bad way not joking or anything. It turns out she just told me that so i wouldnt like him anymore. Why would she do this?

This girl, Kayla, was talking to her friend behind me. I asked a similar question yesterday where my girlfriend recently said she lost feelings for me after 2 years. As selfish as I might sound, I don't believe her and some of her friends agree with me. I believe she is scared to be in a relationship that is so serious because shes only 18 and I'm 21. I'm not crazy or anything, but I can just picture myself married to her and now that we are in an "open relationship" since neither of us wanted to end it completely, all I want is to have her back, yet everyone tells me I'm wrong. It has only been like 2 days but I'm tired of people saying to move on because I believe strongly that she is right for me and that I am right for her. What do I do???

So this guy (he is 25 and married and has kids) from my last workplace has always been friendly (and a bit flirty) with me. Once when we were talking, his wife (who works in the same co.) came by and he introduced us. He suddenly a bit uncomfy. He had taken my number, & gave me a call, and asked when we could meet for lunch or dinner. I told him to give me some time. I also said would that be ok, and what about his wife? He said "Hey, she has friends who are male". I am hesitating. Am I being paranoid? (Once when we were talking, he did mention that he has thoughts of exploring other options, becoz his wife isn't perfect, altho he said he respects her, but he is stopping himself because he has kids.)

So what is this guy wanting with me? Just a good time with a single gal? I dont deny he is nice and friendly. But I dont feel right about it, because I am not sure if he will be telling his wife or not. I dont want to hurt him with a no either.

OK, ok I know I'm not allowed to date yet, but what, I cant even have a crush? im 12, and we were watching a tv show on which a little girl likes a boy, also young, and my mom looked over and was frustrated on how such a little girl could like someone and I was like hello! Its called a crush or puppy love!!! And she asked me if I liked boys in my school and I was like yes and she got really mad!!! And then one time my friend told me her parents would let her date when she was 16, I got curious and asked my mom too. She said medical college! I was mad. The short version is there's this girl I really like and we used to talk along time ago and then she told me she didn't want to talk to me any more. Then after that there was one day where we talked a little and we used to say hi to each other, then we stopped. She sneaks looks in my direction when it's just her or her and one of her friends around, and sometimes she'll walk near me or sit directly across from me at the table she sits at at lunch (and sometimes I see her looking up at me from where she's sitting) the only thing is there was just one time where she said something (again, short version) when she was around a lot of other people that showed that she doesn't like me. I clearly understand she doesn't feel the same was I do about her, and until recently I was hoping she missed me but now I'm sure she probably doesn't, but I still want to get her something just because, even though I think if I did she'd think she had me under control or whatever. Should I get her something?

and i did it because he was telling me all the things he didnt like about me, and when i asked him why he was going out with me, he said i dont know. i know i did the right thing. but part of me thinks he wanted me to break up with him, so he made me mad, and made me break up with him. what do you think?? could it be a possibility???
