OK, ok I know I'm not allowed to date yet, but what, I cant even have a crush? im 12, and we were watching a tv show on which a little girl likes a boy, also young, and my mom looked over and was frustrated on how such a little girl could like someone and I was like hello! Its called a crush or puppy love!!! And she asked me if I liked boys in my school and I was like yes and she got really mad!!! And then one time my friend told me her parents would let her date when she was 16, I got curious and asked my mom too. She said medical college! I was mad. I mean ok ok dating thing we'll go cover that obstacle some other time but not even a crush? One time I asked my mom if I could study at my friends house for a play we're having tom. she asked if there would be boys there an d I said yes (whats wrong with that) and my mom got mad and didnt let me go... Im so frustrated, I thought I could talk to my mom about crushes and dating, but I can't! What can I do to make her give in? con. in detai

if I talk to her about it what should I say, let me add she is very strict? and why do u think she won't trust me, I cant do anything I'm still a little kid! And when I'm older like 16 and I'm ready to date what should I tell her? Ugh help...

my mom's marriage was a arranged marriage so she probably isnt use to this crush and dating thing.

Oh..... Yeah, uhhhh, touch subject, I find it easier to keep my parents in the dark, I mean, no dating unitil you can, but don't tell them about crushes, and if there's going to be a guy there, say, one of my best friends, but yes, and if that doens't work-- 'No'. Hard-- yes. It's the only way I live though, I hate to say. My mom's not so great w/ make-up though either....

are u azn?! ok but thats besides the point lol. i was just askin cuz sounds like an azn mom.
but thats prb. why she dosnt want u to get in a marriage like her were it was arranged.
but uhm have u asked her why she dont want u to be wit guys even if ur just FRIENDS.
but if she cant understand i would go ahead n like a boi n even go out wit him cuz ur mom CAN NOT stop u from find love of goin out wit guys to find that perfect person.
n maybe wen the day comes n u actully find that perfect guy n kno u wont break up for a while. tell her i mean she might be mad for a while but she will learn she cant stop tru love .
also if she dont understand tell her that for u to find the perfect guy u have to go out wit ppl n that involves u gettin ur heart broken maybe a few times cuz u have to learn from ur mistakes !!

i agree wit xxbeautiful...well u are too early to date but if u want and u wana go out with that "guy" tell her " hey mom can i go hang wit my friends?" if she says yes go meet this "guy". i hav the same dilemma. (same problem). but wats worst about me is that i cant even walk home alone from school! but thats not important right now. talk to ur mom about this "crush" of urs. maybe shell understand. look if she says no lie to her. but if u dont wana lie, then loooks like theres a long way for you to wait untill u date!

Your mum is just trying to protect you. HAve you heard the news there are a lot of things that moms don't want to happen to their kids. You should just talk to her about ythose things and how you feel about them. And yes, it is ok for you to have a crush, everybody does at a certain age. Godd Luyck with your mom.!

wow i would just have a crush and not tell her anything about it tell u get older she just does not want to see u grow up so fast i know how your feeling i had a boy that i have like scince like 4 th grade and my mom is like u have a crush on him not good so umm yeah some tiems i can't even talk to her about that kinda of stuff talk to it with your bffs

tell her you are serious
tell her that you think she is being too ridiculous(dont use that word)
