Is this a logical reason to be mad at someone?

Question

I told the boy I like I was getting him something for x-mas cuz we're like bro and sis(thats how close we are) and he said ok ill get you one too

fast foward to xmas break me= no present him=1dozen cookies (homemade)

then my friend tells me this is why i didnt get a present:

"he was talking to cassie-asking wut he should get you" said my friend, "then jake came up and was saying why are you getting he something-she's ubsessed w/ u, if you get her something" my friend continued, "and he kept agreeing with jake"

so yeah i was mad because im not obsessed w/ him and i jst like him

im mad because he listened to jake who thought he knew about my feelings when he didnt coco (the guy i like) jst assumed it was true

ive been ignoring him now and have been relle mean and he seems to be talking to me more

my 3 questions:

(1) is that a logical reason to be mad @ him
(2) why does he talk 2 me more when im mad @ him
(3) should i tell him why im mad @ him (he keeps asking)

I get the feeling that you are more hurt than mad. My advice would be to sit him down, tell him what you heard and how it made you feel. Nothing can change what has already happened, but you shouldn't throw away what was obviously a good friendship (if not more), without being honest about what you are feeling.
As for your questions . . . 1) anger is an emotion, and emotions know no logic; 2) he is likely talking to you more because you always miss what you lost; and 3) TELL HIM!!!

haha coco thats a pretty cool name. anyway yea that is a logical reason to be mad at him but don't be mean to him for it. ok he made a mistake its in the past think about your future leave the past behind. hes talking to you because he wants to be friends with you again because your mad at him maybe he likes you but you cant say that for sure.you can tell him why your mad but dont be all pissed at him. if you dont talk to him n be mean 2 him after a while hes just gonna say the hell with you and he wont care a bit about you anymore.

I kind of understand why you're mad at hi, and sure you cna be upset cuz he's acting pretty stupid. I couldn't tell you why he talks to you more when you're mad at him, but you deffiantly need to tell why you are mad at him. Otherwise you saying that you give up on your friendship.

i would be mad at first but i would also ask him why hes tring to make it up to you talk to him he most really like you i would tell him you so to it will make thangs better for you.
