Singles & Dating - 1 February 2007

This girl in Europe is my bestfriend's roommate and she was having online relationship with someone in the US. They met offline ONCE in her country and they have been planning marriage and stuff. He's suppossingly rich, but yet never offers her any ticket for her to visit him in the US for the 3 yrs they're 'dating'. Lately they've been talking seriously about being together. She then quit her job, her lease, and my bestfriend got another roommate, and waiting for him to take care of moving her stuff to the US. The guy said he would send her the ticket etc and then few days later his friend contacted my bestfriend over IM said that the guy died in an accident. Coincidence? I'm too pesimitic to believe. I've checked the guys's name with birthdate on people search when he was still 'alive' and couldn't find any record on that name. What do you think?

Ive got a big problem, I really am crazy about a guy but have pushed him away and now we're just casual fooling around doing 0-r-a-l with each other.
But now Ive decided I do want him. I dont know what to do.
Im thinking of trying to tell him that I dont want to just fool around , I want to date him.
And if he walks he walks. Im just sorry I pushed him away first.
I let the fact that he is a different religion/political background and younger than me influence me. (almost 6 years younger (im 36 hes almost 31)
I realised too late that I m crazy about him.
But was I right to reject him over those issues ?
There is a great guy who loves me who is my age (36) my religion (but i dont even practice my religion at all) and my political background.
But I love the other guy who seemed all wrong for me.
What do I do ?

Well, it's almost about that time of year again in feburary (besides black history month, of course!^^). Man, i can't believe that i actually made it through 18 years and still no guy. Although i'm pretty sure some of you guys lasted longer than i have. I guess i'm pretty sad because i just found out that my childhoodfriend--

(Whom by the way, we're friends again and gotten the whole broken friendship/relationship thing fixed up.)

--is now dating a guy i've had a major crush on years ago and still sortof do. Deep down inside, i knew he didn't really like me and the signs between him and my friend were pretty much obvious. I didn't really react too bad because she's pretty understanding and i trust her well enough to hang out and be with anybody. Not to mention, he got out of a relationship along time ago and she got out of a relationship, So I kinda knew this would happen.

my new bf tells me i'm beautiful, so pretty, or gorgeous all the time, and i'm not really complaining but i'm worried that his saying it so often will make him tire of me. Or maybe that he doesn't mean it. My ex bf used to tell me wheni had a nice outfit on and once when i was naked he told me i had a perfect body or something like that..or he told me that he hadn't seen another girl like me, but he didnt tellme everyday.

But my new bf tells me everytime he sees me and he looks at me straight in the eyes when he tells me which is so sweet but i'm just worried.

what do you guys think? Does he really means it? what's the difference between him telling me all the time and my ex not telling me all the time ?

I have just met a new man...I like him very much. He lives a couple of hours away from me, but has come to visit. We enjoy eachother and talk on the phone every day. My bf is out of the country at school.Hes really a good person to me always there for me when I need him. Since he went away we've been exchanging sweet ecards every morning. In the recent past, hes been writing very short emails/messages on the ecards and I complained. He says we need to give each other space, we need not write to each other everyday, we shud be writing once a week or so. It really hurts me coz I was so used to starting my work with his emails. Me and this guy have gone out 3 times on what i call dates. First one he cooked for me at this apartment, 2nd one we had dinner and a movie, and 3rd we rented a movie and watched it at his place. I like him but hoping he likes me back. To me these are dates but idk because he hasn't even hugged me when i left. We talk alot when we are with each other, but i called him today and he didn't answer but idk if he was busy or what. I don't want to ask him to his face if we are dating or what because i dont want him to think im stupid, or get freaked out that i thought that so we won't hang out anymore. I have been in a three year relationship with a man that has serious anger problems. He gets jealous around my friends and he gets really angry with me for little things. When he treats me bad, I get mad, and he gets even madder at me for being mad. It snowballs until he is verbally abusing me. On occasion he has pushed me or physically hurt me some how. Him and his family say that he is only that way because they say I push his buttons. My pushing buttons, I guess, is me sticking up for my self when he is out of line. Is it true he won't act like that with someone else? Or will he treat every girl like this?
