you have to start by being friends and dont persue it very strong, u must not put it on her face all the time because u will risk turning her off and she may avoid u. be friends, go out for the occassional lunches and movies, let her get to know u, give her the attentuion. be gentle and nice and let her see that u are not the abusive kind. she may soon enough like u. i think she is still dwelling on her past relationships, help her heal and gain trust in relationships again.

I am sorry ,. But I dont think you can make her want a relationship with you. It might be that maybe as well you might not be her type as for a realationship. But yet you a very good friend to her. Dont ruin what you have. Take it slow. Ask her in a round about way with out running her off. You should no what kind of guys she is attracked to . Your her friend. But it is always sometimes ok to just ask her what would it take for her to find interest in you or would you be her type. Just depends On her personality.

Since she has mistreated in the past she may have trust issues and that's why the "only wants to be friends" comes to mind.

You can't make her want a relationship. In fact, saying she "wants to be friends" is a way of saying she doesn't want a relationship with you -- the oldest way in the book of annoying turndowns!

Start with being friends and if it is ment to be more then it will happen. You can't force a romantic relationship on someone who doesn't want one.
