Aside from the gentleman above not being able to type, I have to agree. You cannot be friends... maybe in a couple of years, but not now. I am close to my girlfriend from high school. But that was re-established 12 years after we broke up. We had families and lives and geographic distances by then.

sorry. personal experience tells me that a couple having ended their relationship cannot ever ever ever be friends. maybe a decade and a continent away with a subsequent reunion can bring a friendship where everybody talks about how much it sucks to have been divorced 7 times and how the kids are horrible. probably only then.

sweetie....sorry to hear about tht......but i wud tell u just one thing....if u continue to be friends...u will hv expectations as u were his GF but he wud not b able to fulfill those n this friendship has to end....n hey....a girl n a guy can never b friends.....they can only b aquaintances.....move ahead....find a nice guy......n hold him like never before........forget the past.....for yesterday is history...tomorrow a mystery.....today is a gift....thts y its called the "present"........all the best my love
