Singles & Dating - 4 January 2007

Normally I'd post a question like this in Family, but I need answers from people who might know me, so here I am.

Two or three days ago, I mentioned to my mom that I would like to try my hand at stand-up comedy. (Assuming I'm funny enough, and I think I am.) She warned against it, saying that comedians must be able to put up with a lot of abuse from the audience, which I can't do because I am — quote — a "little flower."

Yeah, that's what she said.

Vindicate me, people. Isn't it true that I am most definitely NOT a little flower? I may be little physically, but wouldn't I be able to put up with heckling?

Ok...
i went out with this guy named alex and it wasnt the first time. we had gone out before for 9 months and then we broke up.but about 2 weeks ago we went back out and then broke up the next day at school because he said that people were talking bad about us going back out. he said he still liked me and then he went out with another girl the very same day. so on new years i called him at 12:01 and said happy new years and he called his friend to tell him i had called. so now i want to call him to talk but im scared he might hang up and i dont know what to talk about but i like him and he dont want people talking crap so he wont go back out with me so how do i convince him. please help

My son met a girl that I didn't approve of that was dating him but living with another guy. He's 16 and she's almost 20. I did threaten her legally and so she backed off. She wont go any where near him. He's devestated and thinks that one day she will come back to him. I think it's completely over and now his heart is broken. What do you recommend I say or do? I feel terrible although everyone tells me I did the right thing.

Okay I have know this guy for about a year. He just got divorced. He is my supervisor at work....well He has asked me out a couple times but things came up. The last time he showed....we have flirted with eachother for a while now. About 4 months ago my boyfirend (x) cheated. about an hout later he came to my house crying and told em exactly what happend.
When he told me i told him to **** off and never spk to me again. About a month went by and we started speaking again he told me that when we were together i treated him like crap and that was true, i was cold and always cancelled plans. Its been four months and im am still crazy about him i cant get him out of my head. I saw him on the weekend and he ignored me and tried to keep distance. Iw ant him back but he is so stubborn. like i can break down and cry. Today in class (6th prd) i got so sad that i almost went out of the classroom and ran away from school because i got so depressed. What wrong with me? i think its becuase i think im in love with my best friend, but he is giving hott/cold signals and mixed signals. I always feel down. I am a pessimist. Well I've been dating my boyfriend for about a month, since we went back to school he hasnt talked to me and doesnt answer my phone calls. My bffl that i am in love with is always saying how hott i am and stuff. He ask for pics and i gave it to him and he responded "yeah, im like drooling" and then when i mentioned in the hallways he was like " ewww...i deleted them once i got it" . And now he is ignoring me sorta and not calling me back or sending text's . Its getting pretty mad. Why is he ignoring me? Its like he has a cold shoulder.
