Singles & Dating - 1 January 2007

I've been datin gmy boyfriend for a little over 3 years. I love him more than anything and I know he feels the same. I'm just about to graduate college, as is he. We are only 21. I'm attending law school in the fall and he has a job offer in another city. I feel like if we are apart for 3 years while I'm still in school we'll both be absolutely miserable. But I don't want to be married until after law school because I want to do things in a manner that will be best for both of us and our relationship. What do most people do in this situation? Do they wait? Marry young? I know this seems a rather strange question, but I've never known anyone in a similar situaiton and just want some input. Thank you.

i was just watching this video about bullying and stuff and watching how these semi overweight ( not even really) girls getting picked on and called "fatass" and "cow" by a lot of their classmates...I'm absolutely shocked that people can think thats right to say things like that and treat people like that..Why are girls who are slightly over-weight always targeted? Not even guys who are obese are treated as bad. Why do girls always have to look perfect?

A few years ago I worked with a girl that everyone knew liked me, but (to me at least) she was too young...I was 24 and she was 19. Well I saw her a few days ago and she started talking to me and I was amazed just how beautiful she was and how much she had matured. She had a little baby and the little guy just took right up with me. Well a couple of days later I saw her in a store and I caught her looking at me, but as soon as she saw me looking she turned her head away and left.

What does this mean? Was she avoiding me? Or was she embarrassed that I caught her?

My girlfriend timed her dumping me with the twelfth stroke of midnight 2007, which I thought was rather cruel. Now, the following day, she is asking me to get back with her- because the person whom she was hoping to get together with turned her down.
Should I get back with her? She does make very nice risotto.

From my own past experience and others I've read on this site . . . why do so many talk of love...yet don't see the responsibility that comes with loving another or another loving you ?

Do you feel that love alone is enough or that there are other factors necessary for love to flourish? Or (do you feel that) I'm ' out of touch ' with the ' realities ' of love and relationships ?

I get frustrated with the seeming unknowingjness of the (joyful) responsibilities that go along with sharing love with another. Not just in the beginning...but for years into the relationship whether that be dating, courtship or marriage.

my cousin had sex with some guy she didn't really know too well from online, she thought she knew him, they had talked on the phone and stuff, but he was manipulating her for reason that have became obvious. he is going around telling people on myspace about it and it's hurting her plus she's getting a bad reputation. This person has begged me to go out for about three weeks. And I told him I thought he was too young for me. So, I went against my better judgement and we made plans to meet for dinner. Three hours before we were going to meet at the restaurant, he emails me. Saying, he had a headache and couldn't make it.
Now, this sounds like a no brainer, right? And quite frankly, I was relieved. Because even though he was only seven years younger than myself, he sounded a little immature.
My question is...... Did he just have a change of heart? Or was he just too immature? Or do you think he was afraid of me? Or is he a nut case? Or just simply didn't want to go out with me? Or maybe the restaurant I picked was too expensive. The man implied he had money, as do I. So, what do you think? Tell me true?
And do I really care, not really. But I would be interested in some feedback.

a freind of mine says its rare, but not unheard of. here is how it came up.

i've been dating a girl for three months or so, and she was a big partier. she still goes out about every other week with her college freinds - sometimes to movies and stuff, but sometimes to a club. a fraind asked me if she carries and a condom, and i was like, for what? and she said, just in case?

i was offended and said in case of what?!?!?!? she says she's not hooking up with anyone else and i trust her.

but she and another freind of mine agreed, when a girl goes out - and she's drinking - and she bumps into one of those guys with serious game . . . . its better to be prepared in case he isn't, so she won't be bringing anything extra back to me - like hiv. in fact, my one freind ahs been with a guy for three years and said she wouldn't go for such a guy now, but when she was with him less than six months . . . . who knows?

i am on here to find out just for the sake of a dis/agreement i am having at the moment earlier today i ask for info on nudist resorts for singles and yes i got some great answers and this i say thankyou for very much but my question is this i am interested in getting a cross section of answers to this query ok my girl friend has told me she think it is totally wrong for myself to attend these resorts or beaches as we all should be covered up even in a small way and what kind of male or to that point would a female allow others to view her / him undress i try explaining it is natural to swim lay there without clothing on but she told me no way and if i even think of going to any nudist resort or beach that will be it and break it up with me my question is what does others think on this in the general question of nudist resorts/beaches remind you i been going to these kind of places all my life back home in australia and see no harm in it at all but really what would others too on this

I hurt his feelings i slapped him 4 times because he pissd me off really bad

so im being the old me but hes nice to me one day and then mean the next and b4 i would say mean things back but now i just back off and listen!

have this guy who
s acting pirculiar... there was one occasion.. that while I was talking to him.. he didn't give any eye contact, the entire time we talked , then I noticed he had his hands in his hoodie pocket, he just acted nervous the entire time, then at the end of the
conversation , he asked me how my christmas was...I I told him it was okay..then he asked so who did you spend it with...And I told him just family. Then the next day, I seen him.then later on, he comes up to me and he's like oh..your face..and I asked what about it, he says..you look so sad...and I really don't want to see you like that and he wants to cheer me up and he asked me what I was listening to on my ipod...and he started cracking some jokes...and then he asked me so when will you be back here at the gym again..I told him probably tommorrow..and he was like well I'll be messing with you tommorrow then..so what do you think?
