It's the "I've been there" smile.. he is just reminding himself of his conquest. You should introduce him to a guy you are dating sometime: Then watch as he gives your date the "I was there first handshake and smile".... You have a lot to learn about men...

If YOU broke up with him, it probably means he still has feelings for you. If HE broke up with you, it might mean the same, or he thinks you are heartbroken over the end of his and your relationship and is trying to console you.
