I want to invite my guy friend to my house to watch movies and you know just talk. I have a crush on him also, but how would I bring that up? Would that be awkward to have my friend/crush at my house....and if it might be awkward how can I avoid that happening possibly?

A long time ago I dated this woman who treated me very well until about a month into our relationship. I guess she thought I was easy prey. So I rejected her from then on out. I would not answer the phone and I refuse to have any communication with her whatsoever. About 6 months goes by and she tells lies like: I'm gay and stuff like that. Well, that only gave me more reason to hate her with the passion! Its been 6 years now and I haven't talked to her sense and never will! I've been single for most of my life and like it that way! I need nobody. At this point I am much more happy being on my own.

My ex-boyfriend (we broke up 8 months ago) called me all of a sudden and said he had a christmas tree for me (he works as a lumberjack). He then brought over a beautiful tree which is taller than me (and I am tall).

Do you think that this is his way of telling me that he wants to make love under a christmas tree or is it just a gift without any meaning?
In other words: do you think this means he wants me back or is it just a nice gesture?

Me and my girl..we had been together for 2 years, broken up twice, but we were great. Then I kind of got sucked into drugs..not bad, just weed, and this stuff called Salvia. and I did it a few times, and she hated it, but it like sucked me in, i didnt know how to not do it. and She left me because she said i didnt care about her feelings. i Am done with the drugs now, thanks to her, but i feel as if i have lost her forever. she is with someone else, and loves him, and is happy, but she told me she isnt COMPLETELY happy. so im thinking she still has strong feelings, but maybe she just needs time?? Any help would be appreciated...

My friend, Sara loves this guy, Tom And Tom asked her out recently. But Sara's mom doesn't allow her to get into relationship nor going out with guys alone. So Sara rejected Tom. Tom was rather down after the rejection. He knows Sara loves him too. They used to chat using messenger online. They longed to go dates, but Sara is afraid of her mom's knowing. She doesn't want to take risk. Yet, Tom is kinda crazy over her. He knows that they cant keep continue this great relationship they hav till her mom become less strict. It will be a long time before things changes. He can't wait.
So he chosed to keep a distance away from Sara. Yeh, sara was sad too.

Folks, what do you think they should do? Or rather, Sara should do? She really dont wish to lose Tom yet she can't forbids her mom's words.

I can sense it
Something important
Is about to happen
It's coming up
It takes courage to enjoy it
The hard-core and the gentle
Big time sensuality

We just met
and I know i'm a bit too intimate
but something (huge)is coming up
and we're both included

It takes courage to enjoy it
The hard-core and the gentle
Big time sensuality

I don't know my future after this weekend
And I don't want to
It takes courage to enjoy it
The hard-core and the gentle
Big time sensuality

I am 21. On chat i found it amazing to log in as a girl. I got many good friends through IRC chat. I have come across a girl whom I like very much and it seems she is the right type of friend I could have. The problem is how can I tell her that the person with whom she is talking is not a girl but a boy and is interested in her?

Mostly wanna see what the woman's point of view is on this from this worldwide demographic. But it seems sometimes like I'm the only one talking about f***king and everybody else is talking about finding relationships and sht. Wether it be going out to a club; internet dating; going to the gym; meeting friends of friends at parties-- whatever. You can find me on page 69. Exactly what page are u on?

i'm not trying to be all emo on you guys, but i've been reading irvin d. yalom lately (founder/expert on existential psychotherapy).

the idea is that because we all know that we will die, that there is no obvious meaning to life, and that we must go through it all alone, people often find romantic love to ease existential pain.

but when this happens, the love "caves in on itself."

My question: how do you tell the difference between regular love (which seems to have its share of heart-ache) and love which exists to ease existential pain?
