My ex's birthday is on Monday the 18th. Despite our harsh and ugly breakup between my ex and I, should I send her a nice bud vase to wish her a happy birthday? We haven't spoken in a year and I still care about her. You think she'll be mad?

I am smart funny, sharp witten, sarcastic and sometimes I go a little too far. I have noticed that women sometimes get turned off by my frequent use of jokes, and smart-alec remarks. I can't help myself, that is the way I am. I guess I am too honest, and not affraid to say what I am thinking. My roommates have told me to try to turn down the sarcasm a bit, but I cant; i think I get this from my father. So, why can't women get my humor/wit?

I just met this girl in September. (I’m in 8th grade by the way.) Every once In a while she’d sit in front of me because it was near her friend. A few times she turned around, smiled at me, and said “Hi!”. She asked when my birthday was.This happened about 4,5 times until one day in gym she asked me what my favorite color was. Then when we were on the bleachers, and came and sat next to me. She then sat next to me, turned her head towards me, and smiled with the most beautiful smile I have ever seen. She said “I just wanted you to know I think you’re really cool”, all while I was kind of looking off into the distance. She also asked if I had a girlfriend, I said “yes”, which was one of the stupidest things I’ve ever said. Then she said, “Well, we have English no homeroom! Then it was time to leave. It has now been 2 monthsandIhaven’tsaidaword toher. It’s just killing me. Im an idiot! I’ve seen her look nearme a few times, but I can’t be sure. Does shlk me? What should i do? I blew it

Here's the story. There's this girl I'm attracted to who is very nice, funny, thoughtful, and has a pretty face. She is very negative about her weight, however. I don't think she's that fat, but she sometimes calls herself 'worthless' and a 'cow' and I feel bad for her. She doesn't know I like her but I'm afraid if I try and ask her out she will shy away because from what she says guys won't go out with her because she's overweight. I actually like her plus sized figure, she's not morbidly obese or anything. How can I be sensitive when asking her out? What would be a tactful and appropriate thing to say?

Okay, I have known some great man who are royal and gentleman who would never say or do anything harsh. And I have known a lots of man as friends who are good man. Some days he'll make it really obvious and happen to show up at all the places I am and glance at me a lot , almost stalker-like, and he'll want to be near me, etc.

Other days, he barely seems to acknowledge me, is he trying to not scare me away or is he just not interested and I'm getting the wrong idea?

This is really quite confusing, any incite into this would be helpful. =/

I have been with him for six years and I never thought this would happen we've always been very open with each other and I always kept our honesty with each other the upmost important. This last year he has become more distant and then turned into downright abbusive. I love him so much and this is almost unbearable but I will not be in a relationship where I cannot trust my partner. He has said and done things that are unforgivable but I know he doesn't mean the things he says. He's trying to push me away. I don't know if he is really gay or bi? Am I hanging onto a dream. I can't think all 6 years were lies. I know he loves me but I don't think I can bear to much more of his anger without completely walking away and washing my hands. I've been reading and trying to find answers but I think I only want to hear what I want you know? Hello.I am in perhaps a dilemma of my life.I have found the love of my life, my"soul mate" if you wish.The problem is that she is totally scared to death of a relationship with me,a "real" relationship.Without getting in to all the intimate details, she is a woman that has had a life of abuse from the men in her world beginning from childhood continuing through adulthood including the man she married who is the sperm donor of two of her kids, kids that I have grown to love and adore as well.When we met I was told that they are separated.We have known each other for over two years.It has been two weeks since I heard from her.Now we are upon the holiday season and I am in limbo.I think to myself,has she chosen her "EX" over me?Does she not want me in her life?Does she only want me in her life when she is having a bad day?Does she not want me in her life and can not figure a way to tell me so?Is she hurt?Are her kids ok?She never answers the phone.I just feel lost right now.Please help me

I have this problem everytime a person says no to me I become sarcastic and ironic and try to hurt the other person not phisicly don't get any ideeas , I just try to make them feel as bad as I do....and at the end I feel guilty and say that next time will be different but it isn't .... any advices ideeas on what is happenin in my little brain when I hear no?For me rejection is a b-i-t-c-h.

There was this guy I liked a while back, and I always felt so bad whenever he didn't pay attention to me. Well, he was mean to me - he didn't give me the kind of attention I wanted. he still says really mean things about me. Even if he's on the other side of the room talking about a time I failed at something, I hear it and my heart sinks. I don't like him anymore, but I have 2 questions.
1) How can I cope whenever he does say things like that, and I just wanna disappear?
2) Why do we like people even though they treat us horribly?
