It's a defense mechanism that stems from insecurity. It is intended to protect your ego from the pain of the rejection, and the striking back is the outlet for that negative energy. And a very unproductive one at that. It also validates the initial rejection.

What you need to do is look inside yourself and dig into what your insecurities stem from and eliminate those roots. Then you need to learn that rejection just isn't that a big deal. It happens to all of us every day and in many forms. Don't sweat it, realize it's their loss, and move on.

Next time it happens, stop for just a second before you respond, take a deep breath, then smile and say, "Ok, sorry it didn't work out." Leave them wondering what they just missed out on.

Because you evidently weren't said no to enough as a child. And you haven't grown up yet so you haven't learned that you can't always have everything that you ask for or want.

If you don't get a handle on the problem, your going to start noticing less and less people dealing with you at all. IE friendless, loveless, etc.

The best advice I could give you is to grow up.

Sounds like you need to grow up babe. I have bad news for you... If you don't grow up and accept you cant have everything you want you will live a very lonely life.
Take a step back and have a good look at yourself.

You're having the same reaction as a 2-year old, only your language is probably worse.
