I mean, if you really love somebody, is it bad to be willing to try anything to keep that person?

My ex left because he said our fighting was making him uncomfortable, he was always making me cry so I let him go. I don't want to talk to him and he knows this. He has been writing to me every other day and sometimes twice asking me back into his life as a friend and this it too hard for me. I don't want to let him in my life so he can control and hurt me again. What is the best thing to do? Continue to ignore him or write to him? I'd really prefer not to have to write to him at all or talk to him because he uses it as a way to try and get me back.

I have been dating this guy for almost four months. I really care about him alot, moreover i could say i love him. But he is this completly serious person. He really doesn't care if someone doesn't like him, and he never apologizes. He can be really amazing but he is also a real asshole sometimes. HE doesn't ever call, and he has no interest in seeing me. I haven't spent more than five minutes talking to him in three whole weeks! We don't ever fight but I cry about the way he treats me all the time. I really want to talk to him about it, but he has been avoiding me! Everyone says we should break up and that he is mentally abusive. But he is just a serious guy. What should i do?

I have decided not to have any contact with him for one whole week, on the comment his mother mad, "maybe you are hovering too much?"
He has no idea how i feel though!
~thanks

I've been with my boyfriend for a little over 3 months. We have been pretty good friends for a whole summer and I've known him since Kindergarten. I am his first girlfriend. I really see a future for us and we've told each other we love each other. He even says that he sometimes sees a future. We have both just starte d college and things have been good. Is it possible for him to know what love is...especially if he's never dated before? He's very sincere, respectful, and sweet. He actually doesn't really like to share his feelings at all. Should I have anything to worry about?

Don't you know that if you were doing your job as a wife and partner, i wouldn't have to be doing it for you? If your man was satisfied 100% with you, they wouldn't come to me.

My friend is single and she's says looking for a man with all these specific qualities, when in actuallity, she just described me to a T. All her previous boyfriends were losers or boring. I try and drop hints to her, but she never picks up on it. Some women say that won't do it because they just want to be friends, but I think they're just scared to take a chance (although it's really not that much of a chance). If women were to dump their loser boyfriends and go after their male bestfriend, I think they'd be much happier. Hey it works in all the movies.

And if you have confronted this person about it and they promised to change but always go back to their original ways then how do you deal with this.

when my boyfriend was on punishment i spent most of my idle time (time i usually spent with my boyfriend) with his brother (my sister's boyfriend). we really didn't talk about much, but then one day he asked me if he wasn't with my sister and i wasn't with his brother would i ever get with him. then i thought about it and realized my feelings for him. i didn't say anything about the feelings until he confessed his true feelings for me. then my boyfriend asked me if i was attracted to his brother and i said yes. and he got mad and almost ended it between us. so then i told him that we'd stop talking but that wasn't true. we talk everyday and all night.

5 mos. ago I started messing around with a guy who said he didn't want a relationship. Now that he realizes I'm ready to walk because I'm tired of just messing around he's admitting that we have some kind of relationship because we've become so close and he asked me to wait because he would be a good man to me soon. The thing is a friend called me to tell me that he went home with some skank he met at the club at 4 in the morning and sure enough my friend knew the girl and they had sex. Not to mention he's given me an STD. How do I tell him about the STD and tell him that I know he slept with some skank he met at the club and ask him if she was just a one night stand or not because typically he's not my man yet or should I take him saying that we are in some kind of relationship as him saying that he is my man? Serious advice needed please!!

I don't like it, but I am VERY shallow. I judge everyone on looks, I only go out with really hot girls, and I only hang out iwth really good looking people. I am shallow, and my girlfriend, who is a model, thinks I am really bad. It's just everything reflects on you, who you hang out with reflects on you, who you go out with reflects on you .... does anyone think being shallow is really bad? I can't seem to change my ways

I'll try to keep this consice :)
I'm 19 and I've been good freinds with a guy who is 41 for a while. The age gap isn't a problem for me, we get on well.
I saw him a while ago and he kissed me - we spent the evening at the pub, he kissed me and we cuddled and held hands alot. Was all very nice. Spoke about it a few days later, and he said that he didn't think there could be an 'us'. I asked him to explain, and he said he just couldn't let himself think about me in that way. Fair enough, I left it at that, thought no more of it. Went out a week or so later together, went for a coffee and a walk - he kissed me again. When we spoke about it a few days later, he said he liked me, but didn't think it was the right time for us - we are both going through a hard time. I've met a new chap - and I told him that I've got a 'date' with him soon. He was a bit funny about this, so asked him what was wrong, and he admitted that it upset him. I said to him that he either wants me or

My girlfriend & I have recently gotten together, and been together for a month and a half, but now i am starting to realize that maybe we are too different for eachother. She always tells me that im too amazing and she doesn't deserve me, my friends and parents also tell me such, and the fact is that we are soo different in the way we've been raised and our interests and such, that i don't think anything will happen and that if i let her get too close to me and i end up regretting it, she might be hurt really bad and she's told me that she trusts me not to hurt her cuz all her previous bf's have. She's kind of anti-social and drinks a lot, im really social but don't have to rely on substances.

she's always been with guys who have been assholes to her so im the first that just cared about her. I don't know what i would say to her, but i also don't know whether to give it more time or that what im feeling right now is how ill feel 2 months from now too Are we too different to work??
