we dated off and on starting 21 years ago, and for the past 11 months he has been all I think about constantly. I walked away a few times because I wanted him to be happy and would still do the same today if needed but i do feel i'm still in love with him and when i remember our times together certain things i'm reminded of makes me believe he may feel the same so should i continue to try to find him or let him stay a memory

First this is from my previous question.
First off there is a girl in the grade below me that i kind of like. Then i was at the movie rental store and i saw her ex. i started to talk to him and he said what are u doin. i just said renting a movie. Then he said i heard you are going after "her". I said yep, then he said well thats cool good luck. I then said in a few weeks i probably will see if she wants to come over to watch a movie in a few weeks when she knows me a little better. Then today i was in shop class and someone heard said i heard you said she came over and watched a lot of movies. and that never happened. I am po'd that a rumor like this started, how can i settle the waters so to speak so she doesnt think i am a total ****.
This is part 2. I talked to her and i told her my story and i told her the truth. SHe took it really well that i admitted it. How would u have reacted if this happeded and ur boyfriend admitted it.

Me and my best friend were talkin about who we like and i told her that I like this guy matt for a very long time and sher said that she dident like anyone but when i asked her the next day she said she like matt aswell. My ex and I were together for 3 years, and his bestfriend (who is a girl) is always the reason for our fights. I'm jealous of her that he gives her more attention than me when I am his girlfriend. He told me that he only thinks of her as a friend and nothing else. But he was always defending her and always fighting with me.

Now, he wants me back, but I keep telling him about the issue about his friend and he still don't get it. He doesn't think about my feelings and it just makes me want to cry.

It took 5 months to tell him how i felt, and when i did he had felt the same way the whole time as well. I confessed my feelings at his going away party though, a week before he plans on moving. Should I tell him that I dont want him to leave, ( for a better job) or is that being selfish of me? How should I go about this? What should I tell him?
