well it all depends if u see each other all day or not.. coz otherwise u can ask him how his day was or wot he's been up 2.. maybe even tell him sumthing that happened to u today, or sumthing u saw that mite interest him.. once u start on sumthing.. u should b able to jst casually make the convo flow :)

I'd say talk about what ever you can, I mean I know talking to my girlfriend over the phone was hard at first but I mean just ask him about his friends or think of something that he can talk about and try to play the conversation from his strengths and merge them into yours. I hope you guys work out!
